Sucks for Evo. Ehhh they really didn't make anything special IMO. Storm? Blah. Drive Club was cool but riddled with bugs and shotty release date/updates.
Had no problems with Driveclub apart from the launch and even then it was just online play, offline was fine.
The season pass was great as well. Tons of content
Was looking forward to this
I only played Motorstorm Apocalypse on PS3 and RC on Vita and I loved them both but the writing was on the wall after the first round of layoffs.
It's cut throat out there these days.

PSVR is closed source right? So no pron smh. And how will the experience be sharing the screen with both eyes as opposed to the other two VR devices that have screens for each eye.
http://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...-44980-yen-399-usd-399-and-349-300236610.htmlThe system also has a Cinematic mode, which lets users enjoy a variety of content in a large virtual screen*6 while wearing the headset. Supported content for the Cinematic mode includes standard PS4 games and videos as well as variety of PS4 features including Share Play and Live from PlayStation. Users will also be able to enjoy 360 degrees photos and videos that are captured by devices such as omnidirectional cameras on PS VR via PS4 Media Player, which will let them feel as if they are physically inside the captured scene.
RIPSony closes down Evolution Studios
Dudes at Polyphony are given four score and seven years to make a game, but you dump Evolution?
There has to be other studios doing worse.
I was thinking about this actually.you're paying for something that will last more than 1 gen, its not only going to work with ps4
By the time the PS5 comes out, VR tech would have matured some more and so the specs of the headset might become outdated.
The FOVE headset has eye tracking and Sony already built their own eye tracking tech and demoed it in inFAMOUS SS.
I expect the next headset to have in built eye tracking , higher res screen and a better camera for tracking.
Either that or they use the same headset and accessories for the PS5 which would be much cheaper then for everyone to get and there would still be a jump in quality since it's the console that does all the rendering for the game.
Only concern i have is if the psvr causes motion sickness.
Any articles? iYen?
From what I've read it depends on the person and the game and for those who do get it initially, it becomes better over time so you should ease yourself into VR.
VR has always been a thing but the reason for it making a comeback is because the tech now is good enough to combat a lot of the initial problems especially motion sickness or VR sickness as they call it. Low latency screens, better tracking and high frame rate means you won't get sick from just looking around since what you see is keeping up with the movements that you're making.
It's when your senses are not in agreement that you get the sickness.
That's why a lot if not most of the VR games are ones where you're in a cockpit of a mech or ship or in a car.
Because you're in something that is moving there's no sensory conflict in your brain so those are easier to simulate in VR.
Walking is much harder though, because you see that you're walking in the VR world but you're standing still IRL and that causes conflict which leads to the symptoms.
I think most people will be fine but no doubt it would cause motion sickness for some, especially if you spend a long time with it on.

I hope this is why Activision Blizzard created a movie studio. Always loved their trailers.
So frustrating...Speaking of GT Sport, it's march and we still haven't heard anything about the beta.
Can you upload it to the cloud, sign in on the 2nd Playstation, then download it that way?Is there any way/method of sending a saved data file from one ps4 to the next via online?
:grabs snickers:There is always GTVR in 2029.
GT Sport is going to be compatible with PS VR

it has a 120 hz screen, nothing about that will be outdated in 5 yearsI was thinking about this actually.

The thing is, when GT does eventually come out, Driveclub becomes redundant. There's no need for two competing exclusive circuit racers, even if Driveclub is more arcadey.
Which is why they should've made Motorstorm PS4, dammit. It would have been amazing.

will there be smaller, lighter, less convoluted, more advanced headsets in 5 years, possibly psvr2? of course
but that doesnt mean that the basics still can't be applied to psvr1
