the bg doesn't bother me ... Looks like a fashion Grey that I love. For the second a blown bg would completely ruin it for me.The background should be more blown out also. imo.

Agreed. What was your lighting setup? Looks kind of harsh.Midwest Fashion by Wills Lost Camera, on Flickr

these can benefit from a good retoching ... the 2nd 1 is by far th3 best of the 4. Thats just my opinion.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Retouching you say? Please elaborate. I'm currently working on my Post game so any recommendations will be considered.
The reason the photos are bright is because I wanted to do them that way so the clothes could be seen. I used two SB-800 flashes because it is what I had on me. One was up high and at a 45 degree angle and the other was about waist high the side of the model.
I don't think blowing the background out is a good idea when using a backdrop. The only time you should do something like that is when you have a background that could be a distraction from the subject. At least that's what I think.
Those NIKE shots do look good. They probably used gels on the lights.
I like the 3rd one ... the first two are way to soft for me and the unwanted shadows are troublesome (at least for me).
But good work .... when you shoot outside like that you might just want to take an off shot flash and a soft box ...... hauling around AB or = and battery pack by yourself ... hells naw .....
You're probably right bro. I just thought the last two would look more appealing with an all white bg. I like the 2nd. As everyone else said, they could use some touching up in pp.Thanks for the feedback guys. Retouching you say? Please elaborate. I like the second one. Her face is posed a lot better than the others. The 3rd one is great but I feel like her hair is blowing to the side. It's like the wind should be in her face but I am sure you were also shooting with the sun on your back. That's like asking for the perfect storm or something, unless you can bring your own fan and create your own wind. Great shots though!

Thanks, the 1st and last were shot at 1.8 and the middle was 2.8 I think. Explains the softness. My boy was supposed to help me out and bailed last moment. Trust me I was feeling it from not having an extra set of hands. I made the session real short because of that too haha. Biggest concern was the wind taking my orb for a ride. I need to buy some sand bags, but I still dont trust them especially because certain positions you wont reach unless you have more hands on deck. Just trying to get better and develop my style.
Should've hit me up lol
@Summer92Here are some shots from my trip to San Diego. Place is beautiful. Ate a lot of food as well All of my shots were taken from my Galaxy S5

good stuff!! Could I play with the raw files on a few of these? PM me.
I would go witht e Tamron non-vc 17-55 2.8 over the canon and I would also go with the Sigma 50 1.4 over the Canon 50/Sig 30.Trying to decide whether cop the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM or the Canon 50mm f/1.4 or Sigma 30mm f/1.4
need a general purpose lens as an upgrade from my kit lens.
anyone ever used these lenses?
