It’s not even about finishing strong or pressure IMO. It’s not like 73-9, going for a specific point total within a game, etc. This is going to happen and he’s going to extend the record by lord knows how many 3s.
I absolutely agree that his handling of the situation has been poor but it’s probably because of all the media attention on the record. I knew what time it was as soon as they asked him if he was going to make 16 threes and break it the next game
