The Official 2010 NCAA March Madness Thread -- * Kentucky and Kansas State Fall *

I think Pitt could lose to Oakland. I also have them making a run to the Final Four in my "sleeper" bracket.

This might be the most "up in the air" tournament I've ever seen.

what do you gu think?

My double digit seeds making it to the weekend:
- Washington. They were up and down all year but they won 7 in a row to end the season. Marquette is good but UW is streaking.
- Ga. Tech. I like Anderson for OK St. but they play no defense and wont stop Favors or Lawal.
- UTEP. Athletes everywhere, Butler is solid but if UTEP pushes the pace I like their chances.
- St. Mary's. Omar Samhan will be noticed.
- Siena. No robbie hummel? Saints got this.
- Old Dominion. Still not sold on ND.l

I just have a hunch of Tennessee beating G'Town and going to the Sweet 16.
its wierd but i can't put myself to having G'Town move on, the inconsistency in the season bothers me.

So far my 11 seeds and higher moving on (not sure if I'll stick to them all):

San Diego St.
UTEP
Murray St.
Oakland
Siena

I'm gonna take a chance and roll with Utah St. over A&M and Purdue. Hope this pans out.

i just switched a lil...moved kansas state to the championship game.

but alot of you are saying byu is gonna make a elite 8 run! we'll see. cant f n wait

SDSU is young, talented and coming together at the right time.

I believe G'Town (and Chris Wright specifically) has turned the corner and would have done so earlier if not for Austin's illness. The 2nd round could be tricky regardless of opponent, but I think they can get to Kansas.

Dirk, I'm interested to know why you think OSU can't give the other OSU a game? Dont have to worry about defending the post...but they do have to worry about that in Round 1 if Tech's guards can ever figure out they're playing with two beasts.

tOSU has ZERO depth.  They only play 6 guys and have NO inside presence (Lauderdale is solid on D).  That team ain't making it to the Final 4.

If they do, then Thad would have done a RIDICULOUS job.

I have G'Town taking those fools out...if the Buckeyes even get there.

Am I the only one who has Houston over Maryland?

I might even put them over Michigan State. They have no semblance of an interior game, but there's just something about that backcourt that screams March run.

I'm tempted to, KLJ.

Maryland won't back off from a running game if given one, and I'm not sure that'd be wise. Houston has the potential to catch fire..not sure if they could knock off 2 teams in a row, though.

As I said, after seeing them in person a couple weeks ago when they came to Tulane and we beat them, I have no idea how that team got in the tourney...

Coleman is good but that team was hot trash

I just really don't like Oklahoma State that much... Turner will be the best player on the floor and I just don't think they can do anything with him...

I guess Keiton could get hot and they give it a serious run... I dunno, maybe I like Ohio State more than I should...

They only have 1 legitimate scoring threat but that team underachieved big time. They should have been in the 22-25 range.

They can keep in close but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if they got ran outta the gym. Story of their season.
