The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

Did Silva ever move to Greg Jackson like he planned?
in the same way that dan handerson had a chance against anyone with his hendo bomb, silva seems to have the same potential to lose to anyone on any given night. even koscheck.

Why can't Koscheck just do what Fitch did to Silva.... haha I'm going to put a little on Koscheck even though he hasn't won since...  I do not remember.

cuz Kos turned into a striker in the latter part of his career, but i do agree he could wrestle Silva, i just dont see him being able to do it for all 3 rds.
CM Punk's Official Fighter Portraits:
Still has those eye bags and flabby stomach lol

He'll go back to wrestling after one fight. Gonna be looking likee a Picasso painting when he's done.

Think its time for Kos to hang em up. His chin is gone at this point imo. He was looking into the stands after getting cracked a cpl times in that fight.

Demian Maia should be embarrased for that last round
he would have been better off running around

He ran and also tried to take a nap on the canvas. Embarrassing. They did have the fight changed from 3 rounds to 5.

unless Punk is given some 10-8 fighter or something, this is gonna be so bad

Just saw the next card is on FS1 at 10 AM on April 4th. wut

Mendes v Lamas should be a barn burner though
Thought that was weird too cause the card is in Virginia. But just realized the Final Four is that Saturday. They don't wanna go head to head with that.

That day gonna be crazy.. UFC and Final Four

Can't favor one or the other in the Mendes/Lamas scrap
same here. Lamas is a tricky mofo but i think Mendes has a slight edge since he's been 5 rds and he gave a better performance against Aldo

Mendes definitely fared better than Lamas did against Aldo, but then again Mendes got to fight Aldo twice

It will be interesting to see if Mendes is still hungry after getting beaten twice for the belt

Lamas looked so impressive to me against Bermudez.. Bermudez came out determined in that fight and he looked incredibly athletically ready. Lamas weathered everything and put an end to Bermudez' long win streak

I'm not mad at Maia for the last round *******. He still wound up getting the TD too :lol

Erick Silva is never going to be that guy at 170 imo. My man is too wreckless. Plus the fight IQ is horrible and he seems to gas super fast.

Lombard suspended for 1 year for his positive test from UFC 182, cannot fight until January 3, 2016

How dude got past tests throughout his career is a mystery, he's 37

"I cannot find the proper words to describe how I feel at the moment," an emotional Lombard stated prior to his hearing. "I have let down the UFC, Dana White, Lorenzo (Fertitta), the fans, my family, my sponsors, and countless others. I also owe an apology to my opponent Josh Burkman. As an athlete, I owe my living to maintaining my body at peak physical condition. I trust those around me and within my inner circle to provide me with the proper guidance and wisdom to enable me to perform at my best. However I know that I am ultimately responsible for what I put into my body.

"I have never knowingly put a prohibited substance into my body. That being said, just prior to my fight, I took a substance which I believe to have been acceptable to use. I relied on people I trusted to provide me with the correct information, and I take full responsibility for not getting more information about this product prior to my use.

"I ask this commission to take into account that I have never failed any previous drug test in all my of fighting, including all my years as an Olympic athlete. I am truly embarrassed and sorry for my actions. This will never happen again. As an older fighter, I do not have many fights left in my career, and I hope that I can use this time to help younger fighters to become more educated about people they trust."
