So after watching the Khabib and Rafael fight smokin), Dos Anjos was pretty much the same size. I still say he's on something. Nobody goes at that pace for 5 rounds when they've only had one previous 5 round fight in the UFC.

 the whole interview was just very confident. Not cocky. Very distinct difference in how this man sees himself and the competition. Training with AKA 

He need to calm down with calling Pettis a joke though. Anyone who destroys Cowboy, Bendo and Gilbert Melendez is far from a joke

I do think a few guys pose problems for Pettis. Khabib, RDA even someone like Johnson. As long as Pettis is unable to keep grapplers/wrestlers from imposing their will those guys are going to have a very good chance

The article I believe misquoted him a bit. Khabib also said Barboza would beat Pettis in the same interview

I think most UFC execs are just like you and hoping that Cerrone can pull out a win. Khabib has been dominant and he's undefeated but he's not someone that they can market and push to sell ppvs.

I've been a fan of Pettis since WEC, but if he couldn't stay up against Guida... The thing I like about Khabib, he actually throws too. He throws bombs, but at the end of the day, he will grab you and toss you around the octagon too.
I honestly thought working with Askren would have helped, but the guy just can't stop being taken down. Hate it, but he will probably lose to anybody that has that game plan against him. Unless he lands a kick beforehand.

His wrestling has improved a lot since the guida fight though. Besides the fight he just had, what recent fight has someone taken him down and smothered him? Melendez and henderson are solid wrestlers and they weren't wrestle humping him. Dos Anjos was walking through all his strikes and giving damage of his own so that helped a lot in wearing him down and taking him down.

Bendo stopped wrestling for like almost two years. It was really bizarre

Gilbert was actually having success controlling Pettis to start the fight if I recall correctly. The fight changed when Gil pinned Pettis up against the cage and tried to dirty box him.. Pettis used ridiculously fast counter punching and landed a flurry of close shots which shut Gilbert down quick

Thompson and Green are all stand up at this point. Tibau maybe. And most of those names arent even top 10. Pettis could easily make another run without seeing any of them tbh.

Pettis' wrestling has improved since training with Askren. The thing with him is that he's really confident in his bjj and working off of his back. Thats why you see him throwing kicks without a care. He doesn't care if he's taken down cause he thinks he'll lock up a sub or get back to his feet easily.
