The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

Should've kicked the guy in the cup to see if he was still human. If no reaction, then no strike would hurt him.

Pettis started to put on his best Tito Ortiz impression with the excuses but saved himself eventually by owning the L

Pettis said he would love to fight Nate Diaz but right now he's not even thinking of anything except on how to improve himself. He also said he doesn't mind Khabib talking all that trash and he said Khabib deserves a title shot. No salt at all by the former champ. Pettis said regardless of what happens he needs to rematch RDA eventually to erase this loss

They were showing a bunch of Pettis coverage on FS1 tonight and saw the Pettis/Gilbert fight again. Gilbert was controlling him much of the 1st round and also catching Pettis with some nice strikes. Pettis' face after the fight was without blemish somehow. I was shocked

Cowboy hasn't been riled up by Khabib either. Said whatever hypes the fight to make the most money he's down for

I really wanted to see TJ prove the doubters wrong in this fight too bad we have to see it next year

Good news is NY is getting closer to legalizing mma my body and money will be ready

The first ever Madison Square Garden card they would put together would be...

Have a feeling they would give no dambs and include

Jones

Weidman

Rousey

Edgar

Bermudez

Hall

Iaquinta

I'm not getting excited about mma in NY yet. This is like the 4th or 5th year in a row that the bill passed through the Senate. Then it goes to the NY State Assembly or whatever and they never bring it up for a vote or they vote against it and we have to wait another year.

But sucks for Dillashaw and Barao. Don't get why UFC made Rampage v Maldonado the new co-main. Especially with Bellator filing a court injunction to have Rampage removed from the card.

Out of any time this time seems to be the best chance by FAR

Also imo they should move Machida/Rockhold to this card

I agree with you on Machida/Rockhold but that would probably tick off Fox. They probably ask for a certain caliber of fighter or main event for their big shows.

From apg mcgregor va aldo a good interview, these guys really don't like eachother just like jones/DC
Btw the translator for aldo NT thick?

nobody tinks like he tinks

but i do think conor loses

Aldo shouldn't let a douchetard like that get to him. He probably doesn't even understand half the stuff the guy is yelling at him in that accent.

watching this ufc unleashed
forgot how much silva was trying to put on a show and encouraging weidman to strike with him :lol

Cris cyborg finally signs to the ufc, omg this event is going to be major
Looks like she's still going to fight at 145 for her next match in July for INVICTA. Then she'll try to cut down for the next fight in the UFC with Ronda. Assuming both win their next fights

Kinda sucks for Invicta. A lot of their talent goes over to the ufc. Most of their strawweight division went to tuf.

I've said it like a dozen times, if cyborg wants to go down to 135 she'll have to lose some muscle / bulk. Would make the cut easier and might give a boost in cardio.

Invicta for some reason don't care. They even have their library on UFC Fight Pass. It seems like they have a very close relationship, they often talk nicely of each other (Dana White and the owner of Invicta)

Is UFC/Zuffa bankrolling Invicta? Seems like UFC and Invicta have been working together and their shows are even on Fight Pass now. And the same deal that Cyborg has now with UFC, is kinda like the original deal she had with them in the past after they bought Strikeforce. She was under contract with Zuffa and would've been allowed to fight under the Invicta brand until she made 135 lbs. but Tito ****** it up when he was her manager.

It seems like they have a mutually beneficial business relationship.

Like what was already said, prior to TUF 20, Invicta "allowed" their straw weight division to sign to UFC. Trust me, Shannon Knapp wasn't altruistically letting her bread and butter go.

The only reason Cyborg is in Invicta is the random drug testing and lack of 145 women's division. If she signs to UFC, she's going to need to submit to those drug tests and consistently cut weight to 135, which she has not proven she can.

But honestly, the money is in the UFC. She's never going to have as big a drawing fight as she will with Rousey.
