"The Last Dance" Michael Jordan & Chicago Bulls Docuseries

By the time of his second retirement guys that had been in the league for more than a couple of years who had played against MJ knew what the deal was. You typically kept your mouth shut and didn't try and provoke him. Fear or respect. Call it what you want but when your nickname is Black Jesus you are getting a whole lot of both.

Yup.. got to the point where coaches flat out told dudes to leave him alone so any little thing got get blown up into a perceived slight

Magic and Bird were already washed up and on their way out as Jordan was entering his prime. That's before he won any rings except for his first so of course they didnt fear him. They both basically gave him that #1 title after that ash though. That's just resspect.

Shaq in a whole other position so he was never pressed to face Jordan like that. He definitely has said himself he feared being posterizied by Jordan.

Zeke couldn't get sleep thinking about Jordan. That's past fear.

I love Bron but he isn't on the same level as MJ and if you can watch this series and have a different opinion I don't even wanna know you lol.

With each passing Sunday, a lot of the younger generations are looking at the present-day NBA in general like :smh:

steph curry would've quit basketball back in the day
he is very talented but can only play in this no contact version of the nba

imagine the calls iverson would get in this era of basketball

this is why lebron can't be better than mj. he's too soft

mj would never

Yall still with this nonsense :{ :lol. Live look at All NBA/ALL Star guard Mark price getting busy in that era....and you don’t think Steph should? Lmao.

Steph’s Dad was the same size as Steph....with LITTLE handle, and less range... and was a 6MOTY and a good player for a long time.
Steph would be Steph in any era. Bron would be Bron in any era. They aren’t soft, they are all time greats.

MJ is better than Bron, simply because he’s a better player. Not because of any era bs y’all spill. The “old school” vs “new school” era bs has to stop. Y’all lack any nuance.

jape jape here is Wilt and Bill Russell talking about averaging 60-70ppg in the 80s & 90s because the nba is “too soft” because of “rule changes to help the offense (4:50 mark). Also said the 60s has better athletes :lol.

Here is Wilt again calling 90s nba soft.

This happens decade after decade. Even the early 00s guys, who were getting sht-Ed on by the previous generation for being flashy etc, are the ones now sht-ing on players of the present.

The reality is...The players in every era were elite. The players today are advanced and elite. The pace/game and some rules have fluctuated over the years...but the game is the game. The best dominate in their eras. That’s how it goes. Calling MJ era guys “plumbers” is equally as stupid as suggesting that nba players of today couldn’t make it in the past. Both are mind numbingly terrible, thoughtless takes.
