"The Last Dance" Michael Jordan & Chicago Bulls Docuseries

They used Krause as motivation to keep winning.

i doubt Krause was their motivation. I mean look how they treated him lol. I believe it was Phil Jackson’s approach for that entire season that kept them on their path.

I remember hope was still being held out that everybody would come back after that '98 championship. Tickets for preseason games went on sale that summer. My dad got em for a Bulls vs Pacers matchup at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa. What a let-down lol

I was 13 at the time. I thought they would come back. Yeah I heard a lot of the grumbling and everything. But I just couldn’t see them breaking it up. Especially with the East on the verge of becoming pure trash in the post lockout years.

Although I know we are so used to binging things these days, I’m actually glad they’re breaking it out like this. It gives us more opportunity to appreciate the documentary and marinate the episode more. I may just watch the first two episodes again.

with that said, next Sunday cant come fast enough.

Missed the last 10 of the first ep earlier but just finished the replay. Lawdddd when that Bulls intro starts :pimp: legit got goosebumps. Cant wait for the Rodman and Phil eps next week. I wonder how the final 6 eps are going to be, i dont need eps mainly focusing on Kerr, Wennington, Randy Brown etc :lol

loved/shocked it was uncensored, when i heard that first F bomb i was like :wow: . Makes it even better

You can tell how players from that school of thought were coached. If they came from an abusive coach, ala Bobby Knight style? They feel that it made them tougher, and that if you weren't coached that way? You do not know how to respond to pressure, and you do not know how to win. This is the very reason why I dig Dr.J much more than Jordan. While Doc only has one chip in the NBA, you'll never hear any of his teammates, coaches, say one word against him. He proves that you can win, be considered one of the best, without being a complete butthole.

MJ didn’t want to be “ one of the best”. He wanted to be the best. That’s why he was a **** and demanded the best out of his teammates. MJ showing out for the Paris crowd in a meaningless tournament but refusing to celebrate with bum *** Harper and extra bum *** Scott Burrell. That “butthole” quality is how you get the MJs, Zuckerdorks, and Steve Jobs, IMO.

If your winning championships repeatedly why would you want to break that up? Would you not want to ride that wave till it ends? Krause showed that winning was not his priority. The future? LOL We all see how that turned out.
Krause was a great GM and he knew it. He drafted around Jordan and created a dynasty around Jordan but that wasn't enough for him. He was always insecure over the fact that he wasn't the one that drafted Jordan and that bothered him. So much so that he believed if given the chance to start over, he could build a championship team from scratch.

S/o the musical supervisor for this, music selections been A1.
Jason Hehir also gave props to the musical supervisor as well. Said there is the The choice is yours - (blacksheep) among other songs that are contemporary to this documentary. They had to do a lot of clearing of music.

For example he said that the song "wicked" had 48 writers that they had to get to sign off on playing it in the documentary. But could not get the original "terrordome" cleared because they could not find all the writers and didn't want someone to come out of nowhere with a lawsuit because they didn't get any credit.

He talked about it on the Jalen and Jacoby podcast immediately following part 2 of the doc.

Damn 48 writers? Is that the cypress hill song? And isn’t terrordome public enemy? How so many writers

Phill wrote deeper about this in a couple of his books. The Bulls were aware that the NBA was going to lockout in the offseason and would not be able to pay everyone without going into luxury tax. The plan was to let Phill, Pippen, and Rodman go. Max Jordan’s contract then surround Kukoc and MJ with role players. Micheal would not commit without Jackson.

ESPN really feeling themselves, lmao.

ESPN has to milk the **** outta this so I'm not surprised. All networks make money off viewership and without primetime NBA or MLB that occurs this time of year their only hope to sell advertisement slots is this docuseries. I haven't tuned to espn since mid March

People on Twitter getting mad over how they labeled Clinton and especially Obama..smh..People have no sense of humor about anything anymore..

Absolutely. Give them their correct president title.

cmon lol

obama’s was clearly a joke but also letting people who don’t know, that he’s from chicago

and clinton’s was probably done on purpose to show he was from arkansas when talking about pippen. like why would we need bill clinton’s input on pippen if he was from like Wisconsin.

Yeah, music has been hittin'. When "I Ain't No Joke" was going, it was synced up perfectly with what MJ was doing, and it had me rapping along with Rakim the whole time. Killing it.
