"The Last Dance" Michael Jordan & Chicago Bulls Docuseries

That’s how underpaid Pip was. Had to give his mama a replica jersey to hang on her wall. Couldn’t even afford to give up an authentic.

Right when I saw that I new someone on NT was gonna post about it.

Dog we really gotta wait a week for more?? Why did I think it was gonna be consecutive nights? :smh: :smh:

We're so spoiled these days.

I wonder when these interviews were conducted? Krause was never well liked and damn sure won’t be now but he passed in 2017 and I would have loved for his side of all of this.

This.

For that matter, at least through two episodes Reinsdorf looks like more of the snake than Krause. Reinsdorf is the owner and very well could have stepped in and said enough is enough but he is skating through all of this and using Krause as the scapegoat when he clearly said you sign a contract that is it.

Scottie’s legacy with the Bulls is certainly one of extreme complexities. In one hand he is the sidekick to MJ but he is also regarded as a guy, at least at the time thought of as being soft and not very strong mentally. He is very lucky MJ came back for the second run or Pip might be most remembered for his infamous refusal to go back into a playoff game against the Knicks in 94 while MJ was retired. I believe the Bulls front office looked at that situation as the reason why they felt like they could never trust Scottie as the ‘guy’ thus they would never pay him like that either.
Nah, Reinsdorf warned Pippen not to sign that long-term deal that costed him millions but Pippen was looking for the instant gratification. Krause wanted to deal Pippen right away because he knew he was leaving anyway so he wanted to get something for Pippen, which was what anyway other GM would do anyway when they're on the final year of their contract and not happy. Reinsdorf knew they wouldn't win #6 without Pippen and had to step in.

Pippen signed the contract but ppl on social are mad at Krause? Cmon man. Pipp played himself and basically took it out on the team
He signed that contract and then Krause was trying to trade him.

I'd disrespect him worse than Pip did.

I want a deeper look into MJ and Scotties relationship. I just feel like there’s so much there to be told. Scottie clearly wasn’t happy and whether its resentment or feeling disrespected, MJ still felt he was wrong for sitting out to start 97-98. What were those conversations like behind the scenes?

We have 8 more episodes left  . Waiting a whole week for each set is about to feel like 1997 for real.

They used Krause as motivation to keep winning.

I remember hope was still being held out that everybody would come back after that '98 championship. Tickets for preseason games went on sale that summer. My dad got em for a Bulls vs Pacers matchup at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa. Ironically, that arena was home to Iowa State University, where the soon-to-be Bulls coach TIm Floyd was the head coach. What a let-down lol
