We literally have more information available at the tips of our fingers and access to so much knowledge. And instead of finding ones own beliefs or even challenging them, people look for information that just supports theirs. And they don't know the difference. Like how Parks said that there's a doc on YouTube about how Woody Allen is innocent. They brushed past it obviously, because you can find something to counter everything. So you finding something to say otherwise isn't a feat, and it doesn't mean it's true. Use your common sense. But critical thinking and comprehension aren't taught now, and opinion is taught, someone elses.

Seems society is more and more invested in cults of personality. People just finding a figurehead to reinforce their (usually unhealthy) beliefs or feelings.

Every topic is about cheating or strippers or podcasts.
