The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games Thread 🔥🥇🥈🥉

You can go to olympic village and just see how you have extremes of the whole spectrum physique wise for diff sports, everything from back in 2012 the heaviest olympian a HW Judoka at 481 lbs to the lightest being a female diver at 79 lbs

Human body is definitely mind boggling.

We all have a recessive gene for 6 fingers. But in today's society, a 6th finger doesn't benefit you more than having 5 fingers.

If we travel into space and 6 fingers somehow helped us to thrive in space, the 6 finger gene would eventually become dominant instead of recessive.

Then you'd have humans in space with 6 fingers and humans on earth with 5 fingers.

It would take forever. But that's how evolution works.

Or something like that. I may be off with some of this info.

The defending champ Schooling in the 100m butterfly performed so poorly last in his heat, his compatriot in the previous heat was even faster than him.

His form hasn't been good but didn't expect him to perform that badly.

The 4x100m mixed relay is interesting depends on how the teams choose to allocate who swims which leg.

dude made bank, even though he was still technically at texas once he won shh all started downhill even while he was still at texas

but wasn’t hard to see this coming with how he did in the 100 free, where he did slower than what dressel will probably do in the 100 fly

going into 2016 it was a legit thing that dude could do the 200 fly, 200 free, 200 IM with the 100 fly and free.. but once he won, he wasn’t even really doing the 200 fly even thou he had won it back to back at national championships in college.. and then dressel took over in the 100 fly

Am from Singapore and a local broadcaster showed an interview with him post heat and he didn't seem that disappointed.

Can't see him regrouping and reaching the heights of 2016 again, plus he has impending conscription that he has to serve he had special exemption to train for Tokyo 2020.

swimming is rough, so I can completely see why dude stop giving a shhh.. the following year at texas you could see it

he got paid out by the government and got sponsorship deals.. I figured he would be better than he was, but this ain’t exactly shocking.. has the only gold medal in the country’s history, so governments will give him jobs of some kind to get money in his pocket
