Okay guys. I'm about ready to finally hit the gym. I just have a few questions before I fully commit.

1) is it necessary to take a pre-workout drink like on x-plode or itrobolic
2) what are other things to take... Like bcaa?
3) why are animal paks bad? I'm about to order some ON multi vitamins.

And for the 27475th time can you guys post your meals and your regiments And time just to get a idea.

1 - No. It depends on your goals, but for any beginner, it isn't needed. Get in a good meal prior to exercising and you'll be good. 2 - on page 141 or142, wawa posted some good ones. Look for his post. 3 - I, personally don't like multivitamins. But, my diet has a lot of variety, so I don't feel aneed to take one. If you eat a lot, and I mean a lot of raw vegetables and fruit, you don't need one. Try to eat a varying diet. You'll get morevitamins and minerals in that way.

Is Pro Complex better to get than 100% Whey Protein ??

Going shopping today and looking for some new items.

Picking up either pro complex or whey, fish oils, and maybe some glutamine.

15 mins of plyo for the first time today was killing me, but I am loving it.

Already used my 'real meal' card for the week, but going to a BBQ today around noon. Forgive me Team Fitness, for I have sinned.

(pause)....i want a body like that..(pause)

I'm sure a lot of people do. That ##*! takes a lot of work though. Like dude said earlier, in a a team setting those types of workouts are fun. When you're alone it's just pure dedication and all those workouts the football players do take up a lot of time. They get paid to be the brolic. Some of us don't have all that time to dedicate to that sort of thing.

I could **@$+* do that too. Dude was just doing the spongebob dance with a heavy bar.

wj4, have you tried going low carb. I think it'd help you out. It looks like you're hovering around the same area, body fat wise. You could try it outfor a week and see what happens.

Is Pro Complex better to get than 100% Whey Protein ??

No, not neccesarily. Pro Complex is a blended protein, meaning it's a mix of Whey, Casein, and I think Egg proteins, so it digests slower, giving yourbody a steady stream of amino acids for a prolonged period of time. It's good to drink between meals, or just before you go to sleep. 100% Whey is betterfor a post-workout shake, because it gets absorbed and digested rapidly, which is what you want right before or right after you start training. I'd say ifyou go with the Whey, take 1 scoop about 30 minutes to 1 hour before you train, and then 1 to 2 scoops with some type of simple carb (gatorade, dextrose, juice, etc...) as soon as you're done with your workout. You don't necessarily need a protein supplement outside of that workout time unlessyou're really trying to add alot of mass.

Explain in detail please?

I recently re designed my work out plan as well. Going from regular weight to low weight, high reps. Started doing HIIT, started doing plyo.

ericesco-what's strong reps?

PanaRican, I've heard that if you take a high protein meal directly after a workout, then it may interfere with hydration and that directly after aworkout, you should just take some simple carbs. Then, about 30 - 15 minutes, you should take a high protein meal. Is this true?

So I was just curious about how to get that shoulder "cap" as the guy in the video says...

Here

Any other recommended workouts or and quips about the dude's workouts?

Question guys: I been lifting and doing cardio and I am attempting to lose weight. Im seeing great results in the chest and arms but my stomach is laggingbehind. I work my abs, but should i increase those work outs or increase cardio? I know that ppl say you wont see abs until you burn the fat, but do the abworkouts help burn the fat themselves?

i def got into this thread too late... i'm 5'10" 175lbs, looking to tone up again. someone point me in the right direction (approximately whichpage should i check out).

wj4, insulin is an anabolic hormone that limits the mobilization of fat as energy. The more insulin produced and in the blood, the less fat is used for energy.During low intensity work, the body prefers fat as fuel, but if there is a lot of insulin in the blood, it can't mobilize the fat. Switch out high carbfoods for high fat foods. Avocados instead of rice, nuts instead of oats.

I just copped this at GNC yesterday
