what are ya'lls thoughts on workouts like insanity?
Great cardio workout and very hard but not something you should expect muscle gains from.

That being said I did the program after my physiotherapy completion to shed some chubbyness and my left bicep has been riddled with huge stretch marks ever since.

I guess it depends on what you're trying to do. From my experience, it's too damn hard even if you're in decent shape :lol

Hard work is good but you'd get better results lifting and mixing in cardio/HIIT + eating right. If you do it though, you will see results because it's like an hour+ of hard cardio every day. I just don't think it's worth it.

you think you lost the weight too fast?

I play basketball I did insanity. it makes you look better but makes you physically weaker. so i stopped doing it.

Idk my right bicep is fine, no stretch marks at all. The ones on my left run from the start of my bicep all the way to my armpit lol.

I went from 73kg (not a single hint of muscle) to 63kg with the program.

I'm getting shin splints from jumping rope. Anyone have some techniques to stop this from happening other than just days of rest?

You don't really have shin splints most likely. Your shins are probably getting stiff after the workout. Try heating them up beforehand and ice after. Also stretch them out before and after. Sometimes rolling out the bottom of your feet with a golf ball can help too.

What? Elaborate please.

Insanity and things like p90x are so intense that your muscles don't recover fully between workouts and this you don't really grow stronger as much as just burn fat. You look stronger because you become ripped/toned. It's a great way to work your whole body though.

Its not stiffness. The other day I did double the amount I usually do and the past few days I tried to jump rope and I was in too much pain. It's like right by the bone and I get these sharp *** pains with every jump. I'll try some of those things you said. Thanks for the reply.

Trust me, I've had that where you can touch the bones and its sensitive to the touch. Try doing some calf raises on stairs and such. It'll take some time to work out but it's doable

Pain and Gain was good, I was dying when bruh was asking The Rock his Macros.

After seeing The Rock's diet on Yahoo, I wouldn't be surprised if all that food he post really is JUST for him.

Everyone's body shape is different. I'm 230 and I can wear large t shirts freely without it being tight or slim fitting. It all depends on your body shape. My goal is to drop to 195. I'm using June-October to get as ripped and lean as possible.

My track jackets fit similar to Luckys. I still have a slight gut, but its not very visible.

Hmm, how should I go about doing HIIT?

I usually do 15 incline, 3-4 mph on the treadmill before I lift just to warm my body up. I wanted to start really incorporating cardio since I never do it.

For 20 mins:

30 secs running
1:30 jogging
30 running
1:30 jogging
And so on, and so on

I would be doing that on an elliptical...is that sufficient cardio post workout?
