STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

 
So from the past few pages I'm gathering most of you lift primarily for your workouts? I lift twice a week, and do core 4 times, but I primarily run as I am training for the 2016 Olympic Marathon trials; so if it's cool I am going to start posting my running workouts. 

Today ~ Easy 14 @ 635 pace, w/ core and stretching. Speed workout tomorrow so I kept it fairly easy. 
Thats awesome! My pops is currently training for his 10th marathon. I don't know how y'all do it man, running that long is just crazy impressive.

Off the top of my head I've done: 

5k: 14:30 
10k: 29:35
15k: 48:33 
Half: 1:09
Marathon: Making my debut at London this spring

Did a quick 40 min deadlift workout and chest workout. My bicep still hurts so I did a couple sets only on the flat bench. Feels good man. Didnt even plan on gymming it.

Hey bros!

Sports drinks, I heard Gatorade is bad for you because of the sugar, but yet all these sports athletes are drinking, I know it's for physical activity, but just in general, is Gatorade bad to drink? At work, or home, I drink water, LOTS and only, but sometimes I crave something sweet, but I don't want to kill any gains or mess up my diet.

Whats some good alternatives to water?

I drink me a fruit water, or that one that KD is endorsing. I thinks i's called simply ice or something (dont quote me on that name). I'll one of those if i need a sweet liquid fix.

as a woman, I feel like if I wore these and nothing else I might as well be out in underwear/boyshorts. Do you guys see ladies in the the gym (guys too actually) wearing these with nothing over them??

I never really see women just wearing those but when they do they usually wear a big t shirt over it

I started wearing those pro combat tights under my shorts because #ebola

That's pretty cool man, I used to know a few guys who were training for the last Olympic Marathon trials. What are your PR's

again 30lbs in 4 months is possible, Mis quoting me no one is saying it's going to all be muscle. (Thats impossible) coming off a season where he's running and has games. his body's metabolism was probably going a mile a minute.

after the season he didnt have to run as much, probably did a lot more weight training and eating.

he looks great, he also had a great foundation to work with.
He did 25lbs in 2 months.
how is it so impossible to see 30 in 4?

Kinda obvious that's not natural progress lol.


This isn't really directed at anyone particularly, but for those who kind of look down on steroids/anabolic help / whatever you know it as.

Do you guys really know what it does aside from "makes you big" or what the difference even is between the illegal stuff and the legal stuff?

I don't look down on extra chemistry. Point remains, a natural lifter won't make that kind of progress so quickly. Period.

I don't know too much about steroids, so I won't speak on it. That's my only point, you can't do that naturally.
