nothing wrong with the american cars...curently have a Silverado SS and haven't had any problems the last 3 1/2 years.

Only US car I own is a 73' and i trust it to go anywhere anytime, solid car all steel and real power..I got a import for a daily. imports just have more styleing, at the time it was cheaper and had a better warranty. Im a GM guy all the way but its got to be from the 90's on back.the new stuff is just to plain or looks like its a 2025 model already. people just know the importants can take abuse and last well over 100K miles..I remember that toyota commercial dude said his had 500K and no major repairs..find a US made car that can say that... and IMO the last good Impala was a 96 SS

All it takes is for the majority to say that something is bad then since people keep hearing it they eventually believe its true, eventhough they personally have no facts to contribute to their argument, just word of mouth.
and i dont want to bring race and broad generalizations into this but alot of people who say American cars are trash tend to be Asian, and we know how Asian dudes love imports

BUT.. ford is seriously stepping their @+++ up as well as the other american car companies. they're putting out really good cars right now, both aesthetically and mechanically, and if they can keep it up then their rep should be changing soon.
i'm really pulling for american car companies even though i drive a european car because if our american car companies can succeed, that's going to be a great thing for our economy.
btw, i'm asian if that matters.

I love my 2009 Chevy Impala LT..thinkin bout tradin it in this summer for a 2011 Malibu or Impala LTZ..not sure yet which one..or in fact..i really like the Chevy Cruze..but i'm not sure i wanna go back to a V4..i love the 3.5 V6 in the Impala..

Never had a problem w/ an American car except the Ford Escape we just got rid of, can't really blame it on the company. Had that bad !@* winter earlier this year and it took a toll up here in Pittsburgh. We'd still have it if we had the money to get the cats cleaned out before they blew
My first car was a '93 Sunbird that I bought from my uncle in 2003. I had no problems w/ it whatsoever until my mom got somebody to change the plugs and gapped the whole in the engine, never was the same after that
