ross is still in the running for album of the year tho

not much out is touching his album

He def in the lead by a mile with album of the year
I hope some award show gives him an accolade for this album

Snooper Dooper(his original name) was a Rapper from Long Beach, California NOT Gangbanging just rapping. A Slick Rick clone as Rick was HUGE out here on the West Coast. He eventually went of to become a "Super Crip" Rapper named Snoop DOGGY DOGG after linking with Dr. Dre and through the blessing of he and Dre's then Boss, Suge Knight. Not before but AFTER Suge said ok. Snoop's early raps written by HIM are stuff of legend and what We've came to love from him BUT the problem with Snoop is the fact that HE IS LAZY.

He needs someone to "hold his hand" and lead him to the finish line. That's why Suge didn't mind replacing Snoop with PAC as the number one artist on D.R. because he knew PAC would go get it and Snoop...maybe, maybe not. Snoop has NOT written raps FOR YEARS. He just shows up and puts "laissez-faire attitude" to music. It is easy to tell when he stopped caring. That lack luster effort on stage last night is indicative of what We've been getting and he's never been called out. It's only about $$$ and not the love. (So here's where the open letter comes in...) Dear Ted, Over the years you have let your artist ruin HIS(YOUR) Brand. It's a joke. You let him ruin the Cartoon Network and Colt 45 deals by choosing laziness and greed over quality. You keep allowing him to punk you. Why? Ross is a star in the fact that these days image counts more than actual popularity or record sales. Ross has built an image as if he's on the same level as Puff, 50 or Jay on some boss mogul stuff. Same with his label, you would think MMG was Bad Boy, G-Unit or Rocafella.

Ross album did more in pure first week sales than literally every rapper not named Drake, Kendrick or Logic that has dropped this year 

Also, MMG is almost definitely coming over to Epic once that Atlantic deal is over

I think he was more than likely moving around once that deal was over anyway. Remember he signed to Def Jam thru Slip n Slide and they been eating the whole time, Black Market was the last album.

100 isn't really a lot when it comes back to recouping, and marketing and album budget. Bink stayed with Ross for a minute. For a new artist, that's good. For someone who has been in rap for over ten years?

and MMG might come over to Epic, but I'm sure Meek and Wale can go where they want. Plus both Wale and Meek seem on the downside as far as popularity and Ross isn't a big seller. What is in it for a label to bring them over?

And unlike Wale, Ross doesn't get single spins. He's not going gold or platinum off a single.
In addition to him not having a 360. The label makes more money off a new artist where they can get a piece of everything, since sales are lacking.

There's absolutely nothing to gain for Epic in signing Ross. He was never a platinum, just gold artist at his peak. He's just a name.

I said when it happen, it seems like Epic signed him just to say we have Rick Ross. Ross is a good talker, and La Reid was probably bidding against himself.
