Stuff like that is why I never took Joe serious back then. He's changed my view of him a little.
Lupe never wanted to sign with anyone because he was pushing his own imprint 1st & 15th, but HOV was an executive producer on Food & Liquor just off the strength of them ******* with each other so heavy (Fiasco has called Jay his mentor multiple times). Touch The Sky was also a major look and shortly after that he just took off. He got plenty of media attention it just wasn't as long as othersAlways wanted to see them collab
On another note why didn’t jay or Kanye ever promote Lupe like they did their other artists?
