Fight Night: Round 4 gets new fighters, modes, major update Dec. 3

Pugilists looking to beef up their stable of brawlers in Fight Night Round 4 will be able to do just that when EA offers up three new fighters in a DLC pack for 360 and PS3 on December 3. For the price of 160 ($2) and $1.99, respectively, you'll be able to add boxing greats Evander Holyfield, Sonny Liston and Bernard Hopkins to your virtual lineup of potential pulverizers. In addition to the new DLC, EA will also bring in the cut man to fix a few issues fighters are having with the game -- you can find the full list of fixes after the break -- and will add Old School Rules and Ring Rivalry mode. Here's the fight card:

Full bundle (Xbox 360/PS3) - 800 ($10) / $9.99

* Evander Holyfield, Sonny Liston and Bernard Hopkins
* Ring Rivalry game mode (allows players to choose from over 20 different match options recreating boxing's most famous matchups)

If Namco releases more Tekken 6 DLC, it will be free

Producer Katsuhiro Harada commented to UK.PlayStation.com that more Tekken 6 content is likely to be on the way via DLC, adding to the retailer-exclusive Cardboard Tube Samurai outfit. But we can't groan about Namco Bandai using DLC for the popular fighter as a cash machine, because the company doesn't intend to charge for it. Harada said there was a "strong possibility" of additional downloadable content for the game -- possibly for the PSP version as well, since he didn't specify. "However, even if we were to do so, it would be free to the end user."

Of course, this is the same company that released paid Star Wars DLC for Soul Calibur IV after the director said there wouldn't be. So don't go empty out your Tekken 6 DLC fund just yet.

My Take: I've yet to pickup this game, I've heard mixed reviews about it.

OPM teases Dead Space reveal in December?

Considering the artwork depicted on the "next month" page of November's Official PlayStation Magazine, it requires only the slightest of hops to reach the conclusion that a new Dead Space announcement is lurking just around the corner. Allegedly snapped by GOONL!NE (as in the connectivity instruction, not the lineup of criminals), the artwork features a grotesque, tentacled creature viewed through what appears to be the iconic toaster visor of Dead Space protagonist Isaac Clarke. The site confidently suggests that the creature itself is derived from the original game's concept art.

Now's the time to strategically remember several job listings, which mentioned a Dead Space follow-up, along with EA CEO John Riccitiello's recently expressed desire to have EA focus on more profitable, safer games. What could be safer than an isolated spaceship sending out a distress call?

Be thankful, Killzone 2 double XP multiplayer starts this weekend

Just in time for your Turkey Day weekend, Killzone 2 will be activating double XP on all multiplayer games from November 27th to November 30th.

In addition to double XP, Guerrilla will host a Killzone 2 "retro tournament" using only the Beach Head and Southern Hills maps from the second DLC pack, both remakes of Killzone 1 maps. If you don't have the DLC yet and don't want to drop "money" on it you'll want to check out Killzone.com -- free codes will be given away later this week.

Ubisoft: Assassin's Creed II sold 1.6 million in first week

A recent Ubisoft press release has revealed that the company is just so darn proud of its latest bundle of joy, Assassin's Creed II. According to the publisher's own internal estimates, the game has sold 1.6 million units worldwide in its first week of availability -- a 32 percent increase over the launch week sales of Assassin's Creed the First. The company also touted the game's impressive critical reception, highlighting the game's 94 percent user rating on Gamespot and an average critic's rating of 91 percent on GameRankings.com.

We're glad to hear Assassin's Creed II is doing so well despite being the follow-up to a fairly polarizing blockbuster. Also, here's a cool Digital Foundry time-lapse video showing off the game's day and night cycles. Yeah, we know that has nothing to do with what we were just talking about. Deal with it. We drop non sequiturs like Ezio Auditore drops corrupt, 15th century Italian noblemen.

My Take: Well deserved. Copped it for 360, game is dope.

Naughty Dog announced a pretty sweet Black Friday deal today. Starting that day, you'll be able to download a new multiplayer map for Uncharted 2 for free.

The map is called "The Fort" and it's based on a chapter from Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. It will be playable with the Competitive Playlists and the Co-op Arena Playlists. It will be part of a larger multiplayer update that adds leaderboards and player cards that provide snapshots of your stats.

This is the first downloadable content to be released for the game. Here's a video of "The Fort" in action.

One of the most anticipated Playstation Network titles has finally finished development. Dylan Cuthbert, the President and Executive Producer of Q-Games, confirmed that PixelJunk Shooter has now gone gold on his personal Twitter account.

The Playstation Network exclusive game will be released on December 24th in Japan. While the North American date has not yet been revealed, it is expected to be in the same month.

I gotta question about MW2, maybe one of you can answer in regards to online play.

Ive noticed this since MW1. Lets say im walking, see an enemy. As far as it shows on my screen, I pulled my weapon and started firing first. Then I end updead.
But on kill cam it shows the opposite that They pulled and released first.
Could this be a connection issue? or is this a flaw in MWF?.....im wireless btw.

i just tried with my blackberry charger and it didnt work, but you can take the ps3's usb to mini-usb cable and plug it into a computers usb ports tocharge a DS3, my guess is that it works because windows recognizes the controllers drivers

i charged mine with my g1 charger a long while ago...before the newer updates...the last time i tried it didn't work anymore
