My 20% access pass disco worked on todays drop. It applied automatically during checkout when i entered the email associated with my access pass. I don’t believe there’s a enter a code spot during checkout tho.

Didn't realize snipesusa shipped from separate stores. They probably hate me for this.
They're either having a fire sale or it's a glitch. Averaging $12/hat here with more to come. I'm set for life on both of these styles.
The as is their 1999-2006 home 'retro' grey under. Flat batterman and no side flag. Two are Bangladesh poly. Three are China made. This will be a good time to get a comparison photo for you guys. The Bangladesh seems to have a richer darker golden yellow color as well as the stitching on the brim is thicker threading with slightly thinner stitch spacing. The real deal USA has thicker threading but further out spacing. So neither of this could be perceived as perfect. Not sure how the black nasty compares.

What's the deal with HC LATELY? Their generic Cooperstown junk is now $52. They raised their retros to $48.
I also have this OG coupon code but it's only good for one hat now? Is this the best we can get now? Is insiders worth it? When did they change all this?
It uses to be a full order was 20% off, so you would aim for 2-3 to get free shipping, now they discount just one hat.
Times are a changing I guess.

I gotta personally say it's tacky to steal designs from other shops when it's an inspired design. One man is spending weeks or months looking at an inspiration for a hat and trying to execute it properly, just for another man with no creativity to copy and paste it to make a profit off someone else's hard work. That's lame to me but to each their own

It’s not that way tho. Once you submit a design to New Era it’s in tteee catalog for anyone to order. They’re not copying and submitting the same design, they’re just ordering from a catalog.
To me it’s whatever i just want a hat without getting beat over the head. Design is still a stretch for me tbh.

I’m with dj. It’s either all outrage or all acceptance. HC copied a few others with the crocodile pack lol. And not many said anything. But if the little guys copy, they’re the worst?
Once it’s in the database catalog, it’s up to these places to make their own investment in order quantity and numbers. Maybe hats die off in 2 months and they’re left with duds in 4 months when they arrive? Some waited until others were a success before trying again. But nothing is inherently copyrighted or trade marked. I’m all for cheaper products long term.
Storage porn
Some usa grey unders being sent off to better days (away from me for now). Lol
I wanna say mariners/twins/Indians/twins/mets/dbacks/brewers: and then a mix of Indians , 2-3 tigers, a dc padres, and 5-7x white sox, and a few Oakland as.
Backups for days. I say I collect every team but it’s obvious. 8 teams dominate it all. Navy blue crowns are 80% too.

I personally think it's principle especially if you put your own spin on it. Hatclub has been called out for poaching as well. New Era gives you free reign to do what you want for better or worse and you don't have the creativity come up with something unique?

Yeah my beef isn't with the consumer. If you couldn't get the original version and a store is releasing a copy, by all means go buy it if it's something you want. My issue is with the retailer. Making profit off another man's work is corny. Idc if it's hats or anything else, make money off your creativity. Waiting for someone else to put their passion into something just to swoop in and steal it is lame.

I think it's more corny to create artificial scarcity just for prices to skyrocket. Exclusivity is ridiculous and just a way to make things more expensive. As someone that remembers being able to walk into stores and buy what I like without jumping through so many hoops, I'm perfectly fine with things being more available for the average customer that wants them rather than all the hypebeast limited reseller ******** nowadays.

Those stores themselves are creating scarcity to bring attention to themselves. It's not like they're doing an order of 150. They're probably doing 50-60 hats, if that.

you think the stores copying the hats are ordering 500k of them? They order a limited amount of hats as well to build hype for their own stores off the work of someone else. Locker Room of Downey had to shut down their in store drop today for a hat they copied just to do a "raffle" aka backdoor them to resellers paying over retail so they can sell for $200 a piece. Those stores copying have 0 interest in ordering copies of hats so consumers can get access

I think they're all corny obviously. Lemme ask you this though. If that original design sold so well for that original store, then why didn't they just put in another order??

I find it a tad odd that someone hasn’t directly bitten all of these designs and just have a mirrored HC site 4-5 months into the future. What’s immediately released is ordered and 4-5 months later todays release is back again. It feels like many have good intentions trying to be original with just a few releases sprinkling into the copy cat realm.
Covid sort of messed up the supply chain. Are these websites ordering at max capacity and order #s/types? No one has really given us that sort of insider info. If you have just one-two orders available, will you bite someone else’s or try to make your mark? I think we’re at that level too.

I’ll wear any colored under for $9/hat. And the as are coming in about 50% Bangladesh/50% China made. All of the pink under tigers are Bangladesh.

Lots of verified buyers buying manually and getting their orders cancelled? Can’t they look at addresses and ip addresses? I’m guessing bots are smarter than that. It does suck they had hundreds of willing shoppers at $60/hat and the boys will win out. Do they buy at resale? That’s the bigger question. I don’t think any website cares enough where hats are truly going as long as they sell out. I’m sure they can have serial #s on the hats and track who is reselling and cancel upcoming orders. They say limit one hat per household per release and people still can’t hit? Then they say they’ll ban people? Lots of eBay dudes have dozens to hundreds of these types of caps for sale. Might as well keep it to in store at this point.

i was able to cop today (reds) but really wanted marlins but didn't see it
although it did pop up on tuesday! it wasn't posted on the front and you had to search it (i typed in 'breathe') didn't see all sizes up for the hat i got so i can only assume they were leftovers.
been checking out w/ shoppay on there (myfitteds) each and every time and it's been cool, although i did read under one of his ig posts that he says to not to use it because you're more likely to have your order canceled/be detected as a bot order (personally never used a bot and never will)
it is kind of scary when they posts their hats for 100,000 and then you copy and paste the code though only got through successfully once
this is my fourth order from myfitteds from this month alone i gotta stop

They’ve built themselves a good name in the community and have lots of support. Being family owned he knows the loyal ones and the resellers so i don’t see him doing that. Now that’s what i want to believe cuz the owner knows about resell and he does limit those resellers that show up to their own sizing meaning you can’t buy a 1/4 then ask for a 5/8. He keeps it fair and does make sure the people eat.
Yesterdays drop was a ish show but i believe it’s because of a lot of newbie resellers that saw dollar signs cuz they know the hype.
They implemented simple new rules. No line up before 5 am no overnights. I heard people were there since 7pm Friday and posted up like 330am or so. I got there @ 520am and the line was the longest I’d seen it that early. I also know when i was walking dudes were arguing about their spot in line. So that’s why he came out and told everybody he switched it to lottery system since all the guys in the front didn’t bother to follow the rules. Now to me being that i was in the back it’s more better cuz i have a chance to touch depending on stock. Being a 5/8 i usually have a good chance but i heard varying stories about what he actually had. Hopefully i get that call today
