Post Your Motorcycle

Went to go put on my new bars and every single f’ing cable and brake line was too short.

I’ll do it this winter I guess and get the dual sport lines and cables or something.

Nephew wanted to sit on the bike, rode to their house in Warwick from Beacon, first long ride, about 40 high way miles total with about 25 rural roads, how a deer jumped in my path, never has one done so while I’m driving, but of course it does on my first long ride lol

Sup NT! Finally sold my starter bike last summer and copped this '05 BMW F650CS.
Found out the hard way that the fuel reserve sensor doesn't work and I think that messed up my fuel filter. Still blows my mind that a fuel injected bike doesn't have a fuel gauge.
Now the bike is tough to start, especially cold. I ordered a new fuel pump off eBay and it should be coming in a couple weeks; hopefully it's not too much of a headache to swap.

Sold the trusty KTM Supermoto yesterday, but I got to keep the wheels! Ended up giving the buyer just the MX wheel set and a box of goodies. Feels good to have the cash, but sucks that it’s gone.

if anyone sees any cool deals on newer KTMs in Texas, give me a shout.

I’m down to three Derbis now, but man they don’t compare to a full sized bike.

Fuel filter came in a lot sooner than I expected.

Had to take off a bunch of plastic but it's done. Fuel coming out of the old filter looked like coffee.
Bike starts up much easier now. Hopefully I'll be putting more miles in.

Bros should I spend 500 bones on a yoshi slip on…?

Delkavic os half the price but too loud and isn’t a yoshi…

Nope. No performance gains. Look into a power commander first.

I’m on the list to get notified when they come back in stock.

you can tell it runs lean from the factory, the pipe is damn near black from the heat.

you’re right anyways, that’s a lot for a bike I’ll probably keep for a few years and upgrade.

maybe I’ll grab a delkavic instead and throw a db killer in. They are literally half the price. I could get a tuner and slip on for the same price as the yoshi.

I don’t have any plans other that that. I’ll throw those bars on in the winter when I don’t mind it being down while I hunt for parts.

Oh yeah, just crossed 1000 miles on my bike.

celebrated by ripping off my kick stand spring then looking around on the ground to find it then searching a construction zone for some wire to hold the stand up until I could get home and slap it back on with a vice grips.

Edit, ordered the delkavic 14” slip on Rumble Rumble i guess they aren’t that loud with the silencer in but sound and look a lot better. I’ll grab a power commander whenever they come back in stock and both will still be cheaper than the yoshi slip on.

What would you guys consider a good first motorcycle for a newbie?
I love the triumphs, indian scout and the bmw r nine t's. I am sucker for anything that resembles a cafe racer.

Trying to get my license once I pay off my wedding.

I mean as long as you don't ride like a jack*** you'll probably be good on any of those bikes.
Definitely suggest fitting the MSF course into your schedule to get your license.
