He can't accept that his OPINION on certains are just that, his opinion.

Great, I can go really fast, but I want a eye pleasing car with a decent interior that isn't built like ****.
Not to mention that he's probably never driven any of the cars he talks about.  Ninjahood's knowledge of cars starts on paper and ends there.

da suspension of da mustang is fossilized...

da chally rides alot better.

As an owner of Both I'll agree with this. Challengers ride a lot better, But if you are trying to compare a 5.0 to an RT.. Good luck, Mustangs ARE the better all around vehicle. They perform better period.

People argue about cars they never driven in their life on this message board all the time.
 
My BRZ has 200 HP but it's more fun to drive than a Challenger which is great if you just wanna go fast as hell down a straight road

Not to knock your sunshine, but the Challenger RT >>> Your BRZ, any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Lot more fun to drive. I get it though, you love your car... nothing wrong with that.

I think it's extremely ironic that Gold st said American cars are basic when he owns that coupe.

I like it but that joint has the lines of a coffin on wheels.
 
I hear you on that. You're right about the prices. I've seen some of them for the low low, but I intend on pumping a lot of money into a complete overhaul. I would only push it on Sundays and public holidays though :lol I'd be too worried about something happening if it was my daily driver.
I really hope I can make it happen next year. I got a guy who is a wizard with Benz's, but I know not doing the work myself can become a real money pit.

But yours is looking clean. How's the interior? Did you pick it up with a lot of miles? Any major work you needed to do?

It's like a 10-footer, I guess. Looks pretty good in photos and coming down the street but when I get up close I can start picking out its flaws. The interior is great for how old it is. Has some scuff marks on the drivers seat bolster, which is pretty normal for 30 year old leather. At least it's not torn through like many i've seen.

Picked this one up for $2650 with 147,000 miles. I've had it about 15 months and driven it only 1800 miles since I leave it at my parent's house while I go to school out of town. I wouldn't be concerned with mileage on these, rather the maintenance history is more important. One that has 100,000 miles and sat for 10 years might have more problems than one with 200,000 miles that was constantly cared for.

I did the timing chain and guide rail replacement, which is probably the most important preventative maintenance for this motor. Everything else I did was not as important, fixed a power window that didn't work, fixed a seat belt presenter, put in a stereo.

Challenger would be dope if it had lighter wheels with meatier tires, some suspension work, and I/H/E to breathe better.

It's suspension and weight are really holding it back.

The exhaust system is restrictive, too.

I'm convinced most people only buy the Challenger for looks which is fine but it's completely out classed by the Camaro and Mustang
 
That's fine but the challenger is the worst of the big 3 American muscle IMO

It has one of the stiffest rides possible

You can make a car faster more easily than making it ride better

That goes for any car really. Aesthetics is a large priority. You guys talk about performance like it's everyone's concern. Most don't push their cars to the limit (nor care to) or use it's full potential. From my perspective, a powerful Camaro or Mustang is mostly for people utilizing a cheap/affordable alternative for performance. That's why you'll mostly see high-school/college girls in a stock model or dude's in used models flaunting them like they're worth anything. Looking like you're "Big-Time" might work in a low-to-middle class neighborhood, but seeing/hearing a fast Camaro/Mustang/etc. is not as appealing as seeing/hearing that "slow" Ferrari/Lamborghini/etc. It's easy to buy a mass-produced vehicle and make it fast. That's why Ford/Chevrolet/etc. will never propel themselves to a top-tier market. There's just a small, niche group stuck-on American muscle. Nothing more, nothing less...

I like the big HP American cars. But I know those cars have ****** interiors and not the most advanced technology. For example with my GC SRT8 performs great but the interior is just about all plastic and I am always tracking down rattles and fixing them. :(

But its not like I didnt know that.
 
I had a Charger before I bought my Challenger. It was the old body style a 2010.

I love my car I personally wouldn't have bought a mustang or camaro because the interior is too small and I wanted a functional back seat.

But dollar for dollar the Charger is nicer than the Challenger. They weigh nearly the same and you get way better options for your money.

Once I have a kid I'm either going back to a Charger or copping a SUV.
