Chally RTs only weight about 140 lbs more than a Mustang gt. .

Different technology in both cars, though.

The mustang can put the power down better.

from a live rear axle?

For sure... Mustang def has better transmissions.

From a drivers perspective I would take a Boss over the RT or SS all day, even though Im not really fond of the mustangs looks. Especially compared to the Camaros sinister styling :smokin

So this is the new wave, I trade the phantom for the a stable of hemi's and challengers?

Haha.

Honestly I love the new Challenger. I am seriously considering saving up for one. I care about performance but it isnt top priority in my list of what I want.

ninja's problem is that hes alot about the performance and bang for your buck number. Theres tons more factors in it though, and tons of things people look for. Some want want luxury/performance, some straigh luxury, some straight performance. Homie cant get that through his head.

I knew this thread had an argument that woudnt be won after I seen it getting tons of replies after being dead for so long.

The problem is Ninjahood thinks he's right and knows everything and loves to tell people what they should do with their money.

He can't accept that his OPINION on certains are just that, his opinion.

Great, I can go really fast, but I want a eye pleasing car with a decent interior that isn't built like ****.

i LOVE my charger...

and was thinking about getting a AWD R/T as my next car....

but...

it looks like the GL450 is gonna be my next step...

previously i had a 1995 E320, then 1997 S320 (still got her too) and was gonna cop a 2009 R-Class (hot garbage... my boy ended up copping one and HATES it!) but i really loved how the charger gave me that "i can trick it out" vibe to it... needless to say, no tricking has happened and it lacks all types of techy things...

navi sucks, too easy to steal BTW, cheap feel ALL over the place and while the young cats on the block still dig it, im ready to expand the family and return to "germany", if you will...

but well see how the summer and fall treats my pockets first...

this thread is getting stupid with all the pointless arguing.

anyway, finally got my hood wrapped nicely in the matte vinyl and backed the car out of the garage to see it in the sun. the color isn't really what I was hoping for. it's a little too light in comparison to what I had envisioned in my head. don't know what to do at this point really. might try to photoshop it to see how the whole car would look.

so i don't think i got this answered, but are there any benefits to wrapping? also what about pebbles causing rips when driving?

well a legit paint job can cost up to $10k+. if you have a dinky car, sure you can take it to maaco and they'll paint it for a couple hundred. i'm not going to repaint my car in case I ever want to resell it down the road. with vinyl you can change the color how you please and it's only $600ish for the material if you can wrap it yourself. vinyl holds up pretty well, but if you ever get rock chips, you can always just rewrap it.

Why don't you just pay to get it wrapped, you got a deal on the vinyl itself didn't you?

If you get it professionally done it's gonna look better and last longer.

A good professional wrap is going to cost 2k+. If you can gets some dudes to go in with you and do a group buy that $600 looks really appealing. I know I'd screw something up so I wouldn't even try because I know myself. Big props to people on this thread doing their own work on their car.

its very durable in which little pebbles wont cause it to rip. the benefits? changes the color of your car and protects the original paint and clear coat, plus you can just rip it off and go back to your OG color in which with paint you cant unless you paint it.
