I was referring to stainless steel models. I havent checked recently but even back in late 2018 / 2019 most models were scarce at ADs.An average joe is not buying a Rolex that's on a waiting list.
Second, authorized dealers have a monthly Rolex quota, when they can't meet that quota is when they sell it to second-hand shops to help meet their numbers.
Assuming this must be for the new sky dwellers, my friend bought one, not that hard to find at a grand over retail. It's crazy how much people crave scarcity items when there's so many great watches out better than Rolex.
My friend's family has 30 years of watch experience and they recommend you do not pay a premium for a Rolex.
Just to play devil’s advocate maybe she was a mother who saw her young son was passionate about what he was doing and she actually wanted to just help him?A lot of parents make mistakes thinking they are doing what is best for the kids just to have the kids being young, dumb and ungrateful end up actually hurting the parents as a result.

I was thinking they’d have to code addresses to the usps standard like on some sites when you enter your address it gives you the official usps version. There’s got to be ways to stop the botting. But nike doesn’t care.Odds that police or feds take a deeper look? I'm thinking they move on. They're getting the benefit by being almost too rich. If this was two cousins doing this at a smaller scale, they'd be labeled gang members or hustlers, not entrepreneurs.
If addresses are easy to change up, couldn't websites just say one pair per household/credit card number? Do bots run 40-50 CCs too? One could cross reference and find duplicates with relative ease. But to many retailers, a sale is a sale. Onto the next.
A person from our culture is an absolute must for the vacant VP spot. We’ll see if Nike got the the balls.**** really just be set for rich w/ status & money to win. Especially if they’re white. Every moment they have to tell us how we ain’t ****.
I recommend Nike giving us a straight shooter some one with honor and integrity. Someone truly in tune with the culture.
And that’s what this whole thing boils down to ultimately...Nike didn’t get their cut, and insider info was literally being sold out from under them ...Has absolutely zero to do with Joe Schmo sneaker head being upset he couldn’t get those Travis Scott 1’s on SNKRS...

Nike absolutely freaks out if you use your Swoosh account buying things for family members or friends and they turn around and sell it. You can also give Swoosh accounts to friends or family members but the minute they abuse that privilege you lose it or get fired. Same thing about visiting the ES. You get caught selling your access passes or selling items you bought from the ES same thing. Homie, wasn't getting Off White and 1s from his mom. I don't care who you are at Nike you aren't getting FSRs of those shoes. I know 20+ year employees at Nike that take Ls for coveted shoes just like you and I.
What that Twitter thread pointed out was that homie was using his moms Swoosh discount to bulk buy and resale on the secondary market which, at least to my knowledge is a BIG no-no. You start buying sizes outside of your own selected shoe size it gets flagged and questions start getting asked. For this kid that clearly wasn't the case. She knew what he was doing. Nike knew what he was doing and they ultimately turned a blind eye to it.
Mans slipped up, was feeling himself and didn't move in silence and he got outed. Nike, got caught with its 'hand in the cookie jar' had to save face and Ann had to fall on the sword. When you do shady stuff or things that are against company policies it will ALWAYS come back around. It never lasts because eventually you slip up.
Nobody is going to jail. This is a BIG deal in the sneaker world but outside of that no one cares. In a month, maybe less I predict this will all be forgotten.

To me, and this is all conjecture, but it seems like Nike execs above mommy might’ve turned a blind eye because of her elevated position in the company...They didn’t realize to what extent momma’s boy was actually exploiting them until the article came out...I believe I read somewhere that he specifically said his insider, who turned out to be mommy, was in a position where she wouldn’t receive backlash for what he was doing...Again all conjecture, but it certainly passes the smell test...
