Owner of resell company “West Coast Streetwear” mom is a VP at Nike - UPDATE - mom forced to step down

I don’t have a horse in this race but I’m saying though, ain’t that fraud what that family did? They give jail time to mothers who simply lie about their address on an application just to want to send their kids to a better school.
And she shouldn’t have been locked up either. Wishing jail on people that didn’t hurt a soul is wack regardless. Nike ain’t missing no meals and a bunch of grown men missed out on cheap leather sitting in a box to occasionally take pics and post on a message board.

If I had the connect I would’ve did the same hustle minus the clout **** he was doing.

I have not seen anything that would be considered fraud. Just a bunch of assumptions and crying that this is why they can’t get the sneakers needed to impress a bunch of guys.

Where they locking people up for lying about an address? I know a few people caught doing that a few years back and all that happened was made them switch schools and no criminal charges at all.

if y’all this mad over not being able to buy sneakers I would love to see what y’all felt about the Rolex issues nowadays. Many watch authorized distributors are legit committing crimes in the watch world right now.

I’m not wishing jail time on anyone. What I’m trying to get at is the inconsistency of punishment companies and the judicial system like to hand out. That’s why I gave you that example. Like I said before, I have no horse in this race. I don’t buy Jordans from any app nor do I pay re-sale.

There are some documented cases of this happening as it was posted in others threads a while back, it happens. As I said above, I don’t buy sneakers from apps or pay re-sale prices on sneakers. I’m one of those that if I miss out....I’ll shoot for the re-re-re-retro 4 years later

I’d be worried more about tax evasion. You think homie kept a paper trail for ever pair he’s purchased and sold? Must have been over half a million transactions. Did he filed the 20k profit made from selling the Air Mags? Highly doubt it, something tells me he’s never been smart enough to think ahead.

What's going on with rolex authorized dealers?

My friend owns a watch store in Miami that buys Rolexs from authorized dealers to help them make their monthly numbers.

Same thing happening with Nike. In demand watch models are backdoored for over retail to resellers who sell for even more. Average joe kept on waiting list for years despite resellers having steady stock in watches. Sounds like your friend part of the issue.

this is the dude that bots for the kid. He bought him hella copies of all the good bots and the dude rips releases

Man’s bought up all the online inventory in .25 secs
I know bots have been around for a minute now but that’s when I got out of the game. How much does a g ood bot cost? So basically it’s my bot vs your bot on every release :{

Based on this NBA Topshot doesn’t stand a chance. Especially since it’s way more money on the line. They’ve already gotten overrun with bots and they’re trying but it will be a losing battle.

I mean I thought that was already basically common sense from reading the article. What 19 year old you know can get approved for a credit limit in the 6 digits with little to no credit history, or job history?

The mom is definitely in on it too because what parent lets their kid drive cross country and run up a statement like that and not ask questions? She probably got a cut too.

Obviously the higher ups knew. The VP of Nike Inc followed him on IG

Bro I saw this on his live as well...smh. I was in awe when I found out dude traveled from Oregon all the way here to stock pile on some Jays that made their way to our local outlets. Sad thing is I have to literally ask several times to different employees for them to even tell me if they have some Jay's in the back. Most of the time they'll tell me they have none. And this guy can make a single trip and buy the whole inventory of Jay's in one trip...SAD... This adds to the fact dude had inside info and used discounts. N add insult to injury, his mom spare headed it all.

Just because it works doesnt mean they dont know. They're just not doing anything about it.

Anyone remember that shoezeum guy who said Nike banned him from buying stuff at outlets? This feels similar yet wasn't frowned upon. His mom probably called each outlet and got them world class service.

And isn't using bots inherently illegal?

Why would they? Thats like saying you and your sibling couldnt get hit on the same release and both get them mailed to the house.
I'm not talking about that situation. I'm speaking on the Herbert kid getting 50 pairs of off whites shipped to his moms house, not the resellers tricking off on 2 or 3 pairs.

An average joe is not buying a Rolex that's on a waiting list.
Second, authorized dealers have a monthly Rolex quota, when they can't meet that quota is when they sell it to second-hand shops to help meet their numbers.
Assuming this must be for the new sky dwellers, my friend bought one, not that hard to find at a grand over retail. It's crazy how much people crave scarcity items when there's so many great watches out better than Rolex.
My friend's family has 30 years of watch experience and they recommend you do not pay a premium for a Rolex.
