Walt is really the only character worth a damn to me so far.  The rest haven't done anything for me yet.  But I still have 2 more seasons on disk to get thru, then season 4, I'll see if things start to change for me.
Oh, things are definitely going to change. Correct me if I'm wrong, But as of right now, this is pretty much your perspective, right?

Walt- honestly thinks that he can just cook a little meth and make a lot of money, and it's that easy

Jesse- effing basehead going nowhere in life; looks at Walt… errr, Mr. White… as just a cancer patient desperately trying to provide his family with a better impression of him than the pathetic pushover everyone knows him to be

Skyler: not sure what's going on, but positive that she wants no part of it

Yeah that's all going to change.

Have you met Saul yet? Can't remember when he enters the series. And I can't wait for you to meet Gus.

 pretty much.  I'll get there though  I know that season 1 being only 7 episodes hurt it.  I know it will lock in soon. 

Just as of now, the kid does nothin for me, Walt's kid is filler, the wife is decent, but still eh.  The brother in law I like a little, we'll see where he goes, and his wife, the sister, I can't stand that chick already, hope she dies. 

 

I'll get there, don't worry, I'll be along when I start gettin thru stuff.  Should get thru season 2 this week, I hope. 

Wife wants to see Breaking Dawn tonight. 

  Shoot me please. 

  But if you only knew how much sports I have watched the past 10 days, we adjusted our Christmas stuff around the Dolphins and Laker games. 

  So, I kind of have no choice on this one.  If I wish to not be divorced that is.

Dexter season 1 was amazing so I'm not surprised you feel that way.

I'm sure I'll miss BB soon enough and probably re-watch the series. I've only seen it once because I was very late and watched all 3 seasons prior to the 4th starting up.

Nice. I like simple movies like that that don't move around much or have many characters because you know it has to have a strong script.

If you watch the other one, let me know. I still can't decide if it was pretty damn good or pretty damn bad, but I don't really have the urge to watch it again. Maybe that answers my question.

But both are indeed very good. I just feel like the Swedish version captured the bleakness of everyone's situation better and created a more dark and ominous mood, and Let Me In had some terrible CGI moments. Other than that, very good films all around. Just know you'll be watching the same thing twice, but with one in English.


CP, you have no idea about Breaking Bad yet

I aint gonna spoil anything, but your views on characters will either be completely solidified and strengthened, or do a 180 real soon.

I'm learnin guys.  Tuco just got clipped last night, and Walt and Jesse just got clear from why they were missing for 3 days.  Nicely done. 
I should finish season 2 this weekend (tomorrow off) and then start 3 next week, friend of mine has 4 on copy, so I should be done with the first 4 seasons before February.  Hi MrO.

So....yeah.  Watched an absolute ton of sports during vaca, bowl games, NFL, NBA start up, even moved the fam holiday plans around which game was on etc.  So pay back was the other night, wife made me and the daughter go to Breaking Dawn. 

  Maaaaaaaaan, what the @#$%?  Some talkin dogs, pale people that move quick, some slunt got knocked up in 2 weeks, and they somehow found a way to make Ashley Greene not look all that attractive. 

  @#$% that.  Greene is a God damn dime, how they hell, and why the hell would they want her to look stupid?  And what's with this dude takin his shirt off.........during the opening credits? 

  And the soundtrack.......what the hell? 

Sad thing of it all is, the story of Vamps vs Wolves, ok, some interesting ideas here and there like the baseball/thunder stuff, ok, like that, but they wrap it all up in that ridiculously stupid love triangle %%$%$@@+, so much so the shirtless doggie guy now is in love with a newborn. 

  What a future that will be for them.

add Apollo 18 to my 2011 list.... and I do think we should have 2012 lists.

As for Apollo 18, meh... couple cheap thrills here and there. The one scene that made me cringe was when Nate was banging on the lander's window with a hammer, and suddenly his helmet is absolutely swarmed by those spiders.

Just disgusting.

The acting by the guy that played Ben is the only person I'll applaud in that specific department. He actually made me believe in his whole "hopeless" act.

Melancholia: Most depressing movie of 2011. Also the most visually impressive*. But I mean, I didnt find one character except the kid likeable, yet by the end I was sympathetic for the whole crew. I didn't want them to die, even though it was inevitable and it had been known since the opening of the movie. Von Trier did a great job contrasting the beauty in the world vs. the absence-of within people, though it was bordering on way-too-cynical for me at times.
8/10. Kirsten Dunst did a great job.


*I havent watched Tree of Life yet. I know.

I also thought Mara deserves an Oscar for her performance.

Just ignore that half of them were in the Underworld movies...and it's the Underworld director...and they're spending $200 million.

And I gotta give Melancholia another shot. Couldn't see past my Dunst hate the first time, but the other chick was kinda awesome.

You should really check out After The Wedding, Nos. Indie foreign movie (half in English) that hit me the way I think Melancholia was trying to. It got nominated best foreign Oscar...the bad guy from Casino Royale puts in some work. I think you'll like it.
