I used to watch Stay Tuned all of the time on HBO in the early 90s.

I liked Stay Tuned. possibly one of the movies that I had to rent and look for everytime back in highschool.

It seems to me that the more vested someone is in the previous literary work behind a movie, the harder it is for them to enjoy the movie.

Leading up to the release of the movie they kept hammering home the point that Snyder was doing extremely faithful recreations of pandas from the graphic novel. I thought that was super dope. There were differences in the story, especially the ending, but I loved the exact recreations

Man, this movie was incredible. 8/8 and I don't just pass those out.

Better than the Fly imo and I liked that a lot. I'm thinking Cronenberg might be my focus next October...

Yeah, I saw people made youtube vids saying how original it was but most of it was a combo of other sci-fi movies and ideas. The approach was different because it focused so much on the emotional parts of the story. I didn't recognize Gemma Chan bae at first because she was looking skinny.
