how is that not "cinderella" ?

I personally predicted a 4th place finish.  We built this team throughout the season.  Its been a pretty amazing ride.

The "Cinderella" Story, the "Merry clan of Castoff's" story, basically what I quoted earlier, you're just too dense to comprehend it.  Hate to tell you guys, but there were some pundits that picked the Giants to finally win the West.  Ya'll always said with your pitching, you guys could make some noise in the playoffs.  Now it's a surprise to all of you,

.

"Cinderella" would've been the Padres, even though what they accomplished was still impressive despite falling short at the end.

That's causes he's a dodger fan

Seriously, get off the sack already.

You guys made it, great awesome, enjoy it.  If it was my team I would be on the same boat.  I wouldn't pretend like my team was garbage this whole time though.  The Giants have the deepest rotation in Major League baseball, an imposing 1-4 that wasn't bought but developed.

Pre Season Predictions
ESPN Predictions
SI Predictions

They were not consensus picks, no one in the NL West was, but there were some that picked the Giants to win the NL West, Wild Card even the NL Pennant and World Series.

So I guess it's so much for the "No one thought we would be here" story you guys are pushing.

Damn. This dude is upset over the Giants' success that he has to nitpick every little detail and every little thing that is being said.

Like clockwork, Iron Man shows up and pisses on someone's parade. That's just the pathetic little things that he does so there's no point in actually acknowledging this polluted opinions.

Is that better?

I knew this team had talent, but going into the year i had no reason to expect anything different than what happened last year.
this team won, idk what else to say.
now they got 4 more to win and they'll be champs.

I dont care how we got here, but we got here, and thats more than 28 other teams can say...

Obnoxious Giants fans are making it hard for me to root for California (my state) over Texas in this series

, yeah that's it.

I gave Giant fans too much credit, guess it's still too hard to have a discussion with these dunces.

Why do you insist on participating in adult discussions?

Here's the question for the slow folks, I will simplify it for the dummies:

I know the media is trying to sell a story and is catering to the lowest common denominator, *cough* casual fan *cough* but are real Giant fans actually buying into this?  This whole "Merry Band of Cast offs" Cinderella story.

Can anybody name the castoffs from the Giants?

This is a tough WS to pick. Gotta see if Lopez can handle Josh the way he did Howard, Utley and Ibanez. I think Neftali Feliz could be a key peice, Ron has been hesitant to throw him into the fire and the Giants generally place very close games. Was reading Buster Olney's blog today and he brought up a great point that the games in SF will probably start about the same time that the shadows are stretching over the field with the sun hitting the bleachers making the pitchers even tougher to hit. Rangers hit the FB really well, will be interesting to see how they do with the Lincecum changeup.

With the way that Affeldt held down the Phillies for two innings when the situation was in the Phillies favor, I wouldn't count out Affeldt to come in instead of Lopez in certain lefty situations.
