Only the existence of the dismal Sacramento Kings kept the Golden State Warriors out of last place in the Pacific Division last season and that was just by one game. With new ownership, you'd think the Warriors would be ready for some housecleaning.

However, the Contra Costa Times is reporting that "the odds seem to favor" the team sticking with legendary coach Don Nelson for the final year on his contract. The paper notes that the only other foreseeable option for the new ownership at this point is to switch to Nelson's assistant, Keith Smart.

The new CEO of the team, co-owner Joe Lacob, told the paper, "I'm going to go in there, I'm going to meet all the people. I'm going to evaluate what I see, then I'm going to make informed decisions."
