Warriors center Andris Biedrins gave a very candid interview recently, saying among other things that Golden State "made me play too quick after the first [back] injury" that eventually required surgery.
As a result, Biedrins is using his own doctors and specialists in Latvia this summer. Among other gems, he said that "most of my [Warriors] teammates are egoists ... we aren’t real big buddies, but our relationship is on a professional level." He isn't aiming to play far beyond his 30th birthday, and feels that "if [the Warriors] trade me, there could be some nice changes involved, maybe I’ll be on a better team, with better teamwork." And finally, he reiterated that he felt "very disrespected" when Don Nelson suggested he shoot free throws underhand -- a strategy he refused.
#@@$ this dude.
He's lucky to be getting paid the kind of money he's making. He better shut the #@@$ up before the NBA realizes he's an all-effort type player with minimal skills. How can you feel disrespected if you've done nothing to gain respect? How do you call your teammates "egoists" if the ONLY points you've scored in your entire career have been when teammates have set you up? Because god knows you're 6 years into a career without a single offensive move. I wouldn't be 'buddies' with a sissy who thinks so highly of himself, wears homosexual earrings, drives a Bentley and is completely ungrateful.
