My intentions to grave dig this thread are honest but if it upsets anyone I sincerely apologize.

I wanted to know if there was any intention of putting the series on Blu Ray. 

Ive looked around online a little but I dont see anything that confirms or denys it.

I just want to make sure if it is or isnt so I can buy the DVDs instead.

Any help is appreciated!

As understand it, The Wire will never be on Blu Ray because it was designed to be shot in 4:3. But **** if they put it on blu ray at least they could fit a whole season on a disc. the DVD set is like 50 damn DVDs. How clutch would a 5 disc The Wire set be?

but at least it would benefit from bluray's larger capacities.

You can't just drop this and not say *who* you're implying *was* the most overrated character. Lots of possibilities.

Yeah I saw that he got locked up but for a Whole season 4 .. no Avon or prison scene .. nothing lol

I just started the first episode of season 5 so I guess he may pop back up!
