OFFICIAL THE WIRE THREAD.. ''The game is the game"

he‘s taking that economics 101 but ain’t even attempt to understand or apply what he was learning to the streets

He kinda did, but he needed an assist from his professor.

Told him to give the dope another name so the fiends would get excited

He had another try hard moment in his print shop trying to explain inferior goods to his employees, but he just came off as goofy like he wanted to be smarter than he actually was.

Critics have stated that Templeton is based on reporter Jim Haner.[9][10][11] In January 2000, Haner wrote a story which the Sun retracted several days later due to inaccuracies. Show creator and writer David Simon, a former Sun reporter, stated that he believed that Haner invented quotes and events without punishment from his editors.[12] The character also appears to reference some famous cases of journalists falsifying stories to advance their careers, such as Stephen Glass at The New Republic, Janet Cooke at the Washington Post, and Jayson Blairat The New York Times.[11][13]

That's a tough one. Probably between Dukie and Wallace. At least Randy seemed to have a stable foster parent before the snitching thing and subsequent fire.

I guess I'd go with Dukie. Had no one and on the streets he was nothing but a punch line. He had nothing and no one besides Prez and Michael.

All their situations were difficult to watch.

I guess Randy was a good kid, but I still see no reason to why he brought up the murder to get out of trouble.

aint hard to see if in a different world, randy and duquan could have ended up succeeding.. both were far too innocent for that world.. could only imagine if they were given the same opportunity as namond

michael clearly had horrific things happen to him and he essentially had to become the only parent in that house for bug and even his mother.. it’s admirable and amazing what he overcame and how quick he learned and adapted but he had zero other options, sadly.. who knows how things play out for Michael if he’s not forced to be that thing from such an early.. if he thinks he could trust adults, especially males, he isn’t quick to distrust cutty or have that edge to always be on guard.. but unlike those other three or most of em he had it in him to not only survive to be overcome

Is there anyone in here that hates another character from the show more than herc?

Yeah Herc was most def a screw up. The chain of causality for all the bad stuff that occurs in S4 comes back to him quite a bit

I think I hated Rawls the most though.

De'Londa too, but her role wasn't as prominent.

I just can’t hate anyone more than herc

this man directly lead to what went down with randy.. he could have dealt with that shh for bubbles but nah, so he ended up indirectly causing the death of sherrod.. then ends up screwing over the major crimes unit 1 last time by telling to levy

hell this dude could played a role in getting little Kevin killed.. And which lead to the death of bodie

Jemele kills season 5 on way down the hole.. especially the newspaper part being thrown in and she has years in journalism

I lowkey hated McNulty on my first rewatch. His narcissism and selfishness stood out more on the 2nd run for some reason

It's always gonna be **** Marlo. Fam's skillset was OP

McNulty had moments where he could be likable but he was a pretty flawed person that made a lot of mistakes.

Herc always pissed me off the most. He’s got a couple funny scenes but he just reminds of like real ******* cops so much

mcnulty at least was trying get some shh done

granted his whole plot point in season 5 was just annoying

season 4 was the best mix of dude and that was because he just had a child and was in the running to be bond

I get initially they needed a white face to put out in front, but didn’t need his storyline at the end

Just finished season 2.

Season was so great. Oddly enough I’m not in a rush to start S3. While both being excellent TV 3&5 don’t complete to the greatness of the other seasons

Herc was a **** up, but he was at least kind of funny sometimes and provided entertainment.

Rawls and Naymond's mom were awful. Templeton a clown too.
