Per source, #49ers  will interview Colts VP of football operations Jimmy Raye III for their GM opening. He's the son of former 49ers OC.

Dude is a bad ************.

But I don't want him as our head coach. Not right now.

Niners have set up an interview with George Paton

:wow: Jed putting in WORK. granted we're the only team that needs a GM  :pimp: wish HC was the same option

The 49ers had John McVay in for a visit this past season and dedicated their draft room to him.

Think he meant Sean. But read that Sean's grandfather helped build the niners into a dynasty in the 80s/90s

Cliff notes regarding kaep from reddick:
“Look, he’s not one of those quarterbacks who was ever being thought of around the league as being a franchise quarterback anyway that can carry a football team,” Riddick said during a round-table chat on ESPN after Kaepernick went on injured reserve last season.

“So when you take away some of his protectors, his weapons, his defense isn’t as good, you’re changing the coaching staff -- that’s going to really kind of slow down the growth of a guy like this who needs everything to be in place in order for him to ascend where you want him to ascend,” Riddick continued.

“And I think people really need to get this kind of straight, too, and really come to this realization: Colin’s never going to be what everyone hopes he can be just because he’s a great athlete. Every quarterback, look, a lot of it is up here (points to head). Colin may not ever be that kind of passer who can really dice you up from the pocket, on third down, which we’ve talked about ad nauseam with him. He may not be that guy. But you’re right. It’s not all his fault. A lot of things have crumbled around him.”

What's "patriots west"

Means we become the guys who win every year and go into every offseason looking favored because our GM and HC work together well unlike harbs and Baalke

They low key implying our new GM HC relationship could be the next hoodie (he mostly does both jobs for Ne). They saying ideally we find a GM and HC who work together as well as velicheck and himself lmao

Anyway the big opportunity is here for the franchise to rebuild under a new GM and HC and it is especially advantageous to us now because usually when a GM or HC vacancy is filled they are not simultaneous, i.e a HC comes in under a new GM (Harbs, Tomfoola, Dip Kelly under Baalke), in my experience HCs tend to come and go more often than GMs which also contributes.

The short and sweet of it is that a lot of HCs and GMs are arranged marriages between men who might not necessarily get along, this is our opportunity to engineer a symbiotic HC GM relationship by hand instead of hoping it happens by chance or trying to force it.
