Kobe's contract with Nike is at $40 million while Lebron's contract with Nike is at $93 million. That alone show's you that Kobe is not on a "WAY" bigger market then Lebron what so ever and Nike has more invested in Lebron then Kobe. And keep in mind we're talking about shoe sales and popularity not NBA stats. And if you want to get even more technical Kobe's endorsements and popularity took a slight nose dive once he had received those sexual assault allegations so keep that in mind too. Lastly if the popularity of the NBA didn't die after Jordan retired what makes you think it will for Kobe when he retires??Originally Posted by THEJISBACK
Ok here are the facts. It is NO contest Jordans shoes will NEVER be surpassed by ANYONE. I like Kobe more as a player, but I must admit, I kind of lean toward the Lebrons more to buy (I buy both). I am from the Jordan era, the FACT is that NOT only us older cats, but all of you young cats on here jump to buy ALL the Jordan retro shoes is enough proof that his line will continue to be on top even after another many years. Fast forward to the present Kobe are on WAY bigger market then Lebron's with that said Lebron will NOT, I repeat will NOT get that number one spot until Kobe retires and when Kobe retires, I gaurauntee you the NBA ratings will go down as well.
Kobe/Lebron = the new Jordan/Penny of today (in regards to their signature shoe lines that is).
i was thinkin the exact same thing with lace swap on each, so this is why they arent including teal laces in SLH mids. Its messed up but its marketing genius cause both pairs are so fresh lolOriginally Posted by parry36
so take the teal laces on the lows and put them on the highs and vice versa... LeBron making us buy both shoes tho for this one lol
info on the shirt! i like it tooOriginally Posted by bigkel23
Really feeling the shirt, didn't kno it had the 3m affect on it
I found the numbers surprising myself, but Bron is definitely holding his own vs. Kobe.Originally Posted by Tunnel Vision

'11 wholesale sales by athlete: Jordan $1 billion, Chuck Taylor $250 million, LeBron $90m, Kobe $40m, Rose $25m, Wall $10m, Durant $7m.
nice. hope the athletes foot around here will have them at that price.Originally Posted by jhobson5

I wouldn't recommend you guys to do that lace swap. You're going to end up with some really short laces on your mids and some really long laces on your lows. Won't be a good look IMO.
