I believe weed should be reclassified (someone the DEA just decided against) but I believe her view of leaving up to the states (the current system) is far superior than the mainstream conservative view of cracking down on states and marijuana users.

A big theme of this election is the seriousness gap in our politics. For the most part, government works pretty well for most white people. Most Republicans are white folks, who are served by competent government. As a result, conservative politics hinges on symbolic and cultural issues. For conservatives, politics and governance are separate. For conservatives, politics is a diversion, it is theater, it is chance to affirm the righteousness of your identity.

On the other hand, racial and gender minorities and their allies take politics seriously because the consequences of political outcomes lead to life altering outcomes. This is the reason why minorities do not throw away their votes on Quixotic third party candidates. This is the reason why black folks aren't voting for Trump "just to shake things up."

This asymmetry of seriousness defines this thread and this whole political season.

To be clear, you referenced a 66-page document (the 2016 Republican platform) and said, "Has anyone looked at that GOP platform for 2016, and it definitely includes language about strengthening their appeal to minority voters." So I downloaded the 66-page document and glanced through it and found nothing substantial.

Then I asked you to point me towards specific sections that you were talking about or to cut & paste those sections. Your reply was, "Bruh, I literally posted it pages back for Master Zik but I guess cats ignored it." So I did a search on NT and still found nothing.

So here's the deal. Instead of asking us to go through dozens of pages of documents or dozens of pages of old posts on NT, how about you do us the favor of posting those specific sections? When I post stuff on here, I post a quote and a link, as do most people, so return the favor if you want us to take your words seriously. For now I'll assume that the GOP platform is in line with the words and actions of the GOP and their candidate, which at best completely ignores the struggles of minorities and most likely seeks to blame and harm them even more.

Not really, one thing about litigating big companies is that lawyers will try & get CEOs on the stand because of their relative ignorance & arrogance. When on the stand, good lawyers can often get the CEOs to say what they want.

The dummy fits that bill & Hilary is a seasoned vet when it comes to policy. ailes has a history of helping to prepare GOP presidential candidates for debates but you can't dress up an ugly girl & make her pretty. Ugly is ugly. Stupidly is stupidity.

Dummy needs to really appeal to the swing votes & reach out to those in the battleground states. He also needs to figure out what to do about the gulf he's created with the minority, immigrant, & woman vote. He needs some kind of portion of this vote if he wants to win.
