That is a weird headline considering that President Trump and President Obama have both had the same number of Supreme Court Justices appointed and neither of President Obama's picks were black either.

And the last black Supreme Court Justice was appointed during a Republican administration.

Also, Trump has nominated black federal Article III judges at the District level that were appointed, but I will take the headline as true as it relates to the Court of Appeals.

It is important to note that the recent SCOTUS opinion--that ruled that firing an employee because of their sexual orientation or transgender status violates Title VII--was actually written by one of Trump's nominees.

-Trump signed the First Step Act that federal judges can use to lessened sentences which help the black community. He has also done things like increased HBCU funding

-While disappointing, it is also disappointing that people like RBG has hired no black clerks during her tenure as a judge

-Most black people vote Dem so the onus should be more on them to diversify the courts.
