So who “should” be working the min wage jobs? List the demographics that are “ok” to work for that amount.OK... So this farm in particular is located in Napa Valley, and this guy is recruiting workers in Stockton. A quick google search shows this is about 100 mile distance. Who is taking $14.50/hr (In California of all places) and traveling 200 miles every day for work? Is this normal there? This is a complex problem and the simple solution of there needs to be more workers isn't it. There could be a growth problem, a technology problem, as well as a staffing problem.
Capitalism is great and you cannot change my mind on that. But I haven't seen republican ask the government do anything but step aside. It's Dems that are constantly asking for Government do do everything, or make government bigger, or give government more power.
Do you believe in supply and demand? Do you believe in competition? If you do, then logic will tell you that the more unskilled labor workers that are looking for jobs then the lower the wages will be because of simple supply and demand. If someone is willing to do work cheaper then that person is driving wages down. That is a fact sir. It's not a "shtick". People offer free work all of the time to get their foot in the door.
Minimum wage shouldn't be raised. If people made better life choices they could survive off of minimum wage.
Am I s upposed to be seeing something here?
Because americans have been taught for the better half of the 20th century that not wanting corporations and banks to have near unrivaled power is socialism or worse......communism. It's amazing how far the echoes of history reach. Why’s there’s the assumption that liberals don’t want capitalism?
Honest question
Wild that there's a whole city called "Plantation, Florida"

My favorite thing about Trump’s presidency is how he has stepped aside and allowed local governments to...govern

Check your eyes.It also says that out of the 19 mill that are here, 8 mill of them are "unauthorized" lol.
By the numbers
The other side: Nearly 25% of Hispanics identify as Republican or right-leaning. Within the group, nearly 60% approve of President Trump’s job performance.
- About 60% of registered Hispanic voters are more enthusiastic to vote in the midterm election in November.
- 50% of Hispanics say their situation in the U.S. has worsened over the past year, up from 32% since Trump won the 2016 presidential election.
- More than 29 million Latinos are eligible to vote, up from 25 million in 2014, per Pew.
Republican farmers and ranchers can't find American butchers and field workers even after raising salaries. American youth moves to the cities (where labor is not exactly manual) because they aspire to do better than working the land or in the factory, and they mostly can. There are studies on the phenomenon of rural to urban brain drain that would explain why crops go unharvested without immigration, but I am sure that you won't read them since it mostly agrees with leftist policies. You think there are enough unskilled labor jobs for American citizens, who already live here, as well as all these "unauthorized" immigrants?
Same reason min wage is “supposed to be like that becuase those jobs are for bad people”. People are idiots. Sheltered privledged people are a cancerWhy’s there’s the assumption that liberals don’t want capitalism?

If only people like that cared or respected data and/or fact as much as we all do.Check your eyes.
Are you counting Hispanic immigrants (that is, without the status of citizen) and confusing them with Hispanic citizens? The citizens are the ones who can vote, and that doesn't account for their non-voting families.

Being a contrarian for the sake of being a contrarian is a waste of time in the face of data, and data shows that immigration, legal and otherwise, has had and continues to have clear and tangible benefits for American society.
There are issues with the US immigration system, but they have very little to do with immigrants exploiting the country's social safety net.
