Yes ... Respectfully, I think I read you are from another country so if I have that wrong let me know, what do you think the standard is in America to prove someone guilty?

Literally, what you said, is a laughable rebuttal ... Ford's best friend comes out and says - I've never been to a party with Kav, with or without Ford - ........... end of discussion ... That is all ... Her beliefs dont mean **** ... Her sympathy to Ford is honorable ... But Ford's response to the question about her best friends statement was telling - O, she has health issues and shot me a text afterward saying sorry ... ... ... THERE ARE NO FACTS ... Including, everyone "at the party" saying it never happened ...
The standard of proof is beyond reasonable doubt in a court of law with due process. The Senate isn’t a court of law so there is no specific burden of proof in a confirmation process. What is disqualifying, credible, ... in a confirmation hearing is up to each individual Senator and can differ greatly. It is part of their constitutional duty to evaluate SC nominees.

I don’t remember such a party happening does not equal saying it didn’t happen. Mark Judge said it didn’t happen. Keyser said she couldn’t remember any such party.

Sessions told the Senate under oath he didn’t recall any contacts he had with any Russians when there were in fact multiple ones with the Russian ambassador of all people.

Kavanaugh raised doubts about his credibility too. Mischaracterized Keyser’s statement, refused a polygraph after previously opining it is essential, evasive answering on simple yes/no questions, ...

Mark Judge word under penalty of felony means little when Grassley’s chief counsel personally conducted the questioning. That individual tweeted and deleted that they were pushing Kavanaugh through unfazed. Mark Judge has nothing to fear about joining a handful of people in the last 70 years who were convicted under that specific penalty with regards to lying to Congress. And probably the most noteable case, a Reagan administration official, had his conviction overturned.
As if Mike Davis would suggest a criminal referral for lying to Congress if Mark Judge were to lie.

Here’s my thing. Give a yes or no and be done. Only to rich white men does “i don’t recall” get taken seriously. And normal person says that in court and they throw them in jail based on evidence given. For some reason if you’re rich and white your memory is the end all be all. From a practical standpoint how do you NOT REMEMBER sexually abusing someone? Is it something that happens so often that you just lose track?

Secondly, due process is awarded to the chosen only. Cops kill on the street all the tine in the name of justice with absolutely no consequence. The process also changes to favor those with money. **** everybody

What facts exist to support Ford?

I might suggest that you consider the real outcome of putting a belligerent, recovering alcoholic on "the stand" in a forum that basically has no rules ... He has submitted statements just like everyone else not named Ford and Kav ... No one says that this thing took place, including the best friend of Ford ... You can try to use semantics arguments, but Judge said it DID NOT happen and Keyser says she doesn't remember, followed up with a sympathetic text to Ford ...

I honestly believe that Ford is a sad soul, and her friend knows she's full of **** and feels sorry for her ... That wont get her to lie on Ford's behalf though ...

And by the way, thank you for responding ...

I can sorta see why that one guy said Ford looks easy on the eyes -_:smile:)_-
dapper in his youth

I gotta say after hearing both sides I believe the lady.

Bret was too evasive when questioned and never answered the questions he just listed his accomplishments.

But... I think for sure he gets nominated without a doubt and he has a good chance of winning the vote tomorrow.

The dude I told you guys about that I work with he's spreading the word about voting in the midterms to anyone that he thinks are Trump supporters. That's what he says he informs as many as he can and tells them to do the same. Church, bar anywhere and told me straight up Dems won't win this war because they can't come together.

It's so crazy what this country has come to now like I don't remember our politics being this shady but I never really followed it like that before Trump and Obama.

You do know this is a job interview and not a court trial right?
If a man continuously declines to be investigated, and declines to take a polygraph test like ford did and passed

You don’t hire that person

The accuser is the one who can't remember when this occurred, where, how she got to and from this party. ****, she couldn't even remember taking or paying for a polygraph test. But somehow this is legit ?

Also, she has no proof of any of this so what evidence are you talking about ?

This whole process is a bad look for the ENTIRE political system .

Here's poppa Joe dropping some knowledge on the FBI investigation that everyone is demanding :

This has been a ploy by the 'Dems all along. They sat on this knowledge and waited to use it when it was advantageous for their agenda. This boils down to the fear of roe v. Wade being overturned and the hope of winning back the Senate at the midterms so they can stall the SCOTUS nomination.

Very good points.

Plus what happened to Bill Cosby really has all the Republicans shook.

Gillum is running against an avowed racist. The fact that Hillary has joined his campaign effort shouldn't even register on the electorate's radar, but if that's gonna keep people at home or make them throw their vote away again, I'll just sit back and laugh as De Sanctis rolls back further civil rights protections and support for everyone who isn't an able-bodied, wealthy white dude.

I get your point. I'm just trying to understand what benefit there is in having Hillary campaign for him? Like what demographic does she appeal to, in Florida of all places, that isn't already going to vote for him?

I get the notion of voters not being stupid, but it'd be really great if dem politicians would get out of their own way.

On a separate note, I have no clue what Ben Jealous is doing in MD. I live hear and people barely even know he's running for Governor smh

I'm voting for Gillum regardless, but when I heard Hillary was going to be down here joining his campaign I just shook my head.

She got almost 66 million votes and certain people on the left want her to disappear. Meanwhile, Mitt Romney is running for the Senate.

The guys who did it filled in all the blanks by accident. So now the story is complete but when it comes to the rape......... “I don’t recall”.

So reading the news sites he’s all but garunteed to get the votes in the morning and get sworn in next week.

Looks like they’re going through with it and it’s even on CNN homepage.

If dudes are gonna engage in the same mental gymnastics just 2 years later even after disparaging Trump nonstop then they deserve it.
