We are legit the laughing stock of the world forelecting this Clown. Thanks White people.
In fairness, over here my people have been busy forming nationalist people's movements all across Europe for the last twenty-thirty years. These clowns have about a quarter or a third of the population's support. Unfortunately Trump isn't such a huge outlier, our nazis and racists just haven't had Putin's full backing yet.

You need a license, plates, and insurance to operate it legally :nerd:

Pointless conversation (which we all know.. or at least most of us).. everything I wrote, dude picked the very last sentence which I prefaced "at the very least"

But can't solve a problem that you ultimately don't really want to solve.. well actually, gotta acknowledge there is a problem first

Headphones and madden have already been blamed.. along with gun free zones and lack of armed citizens

The very least is what you have... all you need to purchase a car is cash.

If you have a moment, I'd appreciate a response to my question regarding why the CDC isn't allowed to study gun violence.

Any data we do have is 20+ years old, and nobody can really compare studies because there's no official government numbers on record - on how the trends have changed, what trial solutions worked and to what degree, or even the total numbers on how many people died.

Why is it acceptable to stomp out the ability to track incidents and form solutions?

These GOP members are complicit in handcuffing our ability to find answers.

It's wrong.

You know what would be really awesome?

If Republicans didn't threaten the CDC to stop research into gun violence prevention in the mid 90s.

After the Dickey amendment, we've essentially been blocked from trying to figure out what would help fix the problem.

The NRA painted the CDC as "pro gun control", got the GOP to threaten to revoke funding from the department.

You know what I think? When you freak out over people even being able to look into the statistics surrounding an issue, you know your stance will be proven wrong.

Stop keeping the country in the dark because the NRA has you on the payroll, GOP.

I missed your question. But I don't have an issue with the CDC, or any other organization, researching gun violence prevention. Or violence prevention in general. I would love for them to cure gun violence, mass murder, or any other kind of violence.

So let’s add more checks and balances to buying a gun...and not allow people buy cars with cash. That takes care of that

Or we focus on the problem at hand and try to have a better understanding of why this is an American brand of problem. We can hypothetical ourselves into oblivion but it doesn’t address the problem at hand.

All these “well they could just use this” completely ignores the nuance and politicization of “gun culture” in America that isn’t prevelant with knives, cars, spoons, forks, or swishes from the tree outback.

Where exactly are you headed with the car comparison?

I did not bring up cars. Another poster did. He said that the requirements to purchase a car, another dangerous item, are more stringent than the requirements to purchase a gun. That's just wrong....

I said the only real solution is "changing hearts and minds." Not sure how you can regulate away people wanting to murder other people. Murder, itself, is against the law after all.

Actually this is what I said:
Maybe just maybe, that should be one of the prerequisites to owning a gun (mandatory mental health screening)

Along with extensive background checks.. record keeping and registration, for all guns and ammunition.. plus a revaluation of the punitive measures that come with gun violence

Also compulsory education and also insurance, for those potentially affected by your desire to own a gun

At the very least make it on the same level asked of an individual when owning and/or operating another potential dangerous thing, a car

I think the point is that guns should be a lot more difficult to obtain. Like another poster said, he got one on his lunch break.
