He even stays in character in other threads at times. I was howling when I saw him in the Game of Thrones thread using some similar language in discussions about Cersei

Cersei heard the plight and tears from the coal miners in Westeros and took action. Very proud of her. MWGA. Hopefully LIBS in the North and illegal immigrants from beyond the wall know WE AREN'T going to take their disrespk anymore.

And he UNDERSTANDS that, yes, Trump is a busy man and that's why he treated Kanye like ****, not because Kanye is an overly emotional crybaby piece of **** who can be manipulated like spineless putty.

No wonder Kim k could ***** herself out and still win his heart. Kanye is THAT pure.

Supreme Court to consider Texas redistricting
The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments Tuesday on whether Texas’s legislature discriminated against Hispanic and black citizens when drawing two congressional districts and a host of legislative ones.
If the court decides against Texas, it could force a redrawing of the map that could have ramifications for the 35th District, now held by Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D), and the 27th District, which was formerly represented by Rep. Blake Farenthold (R).
It’s possible some of the House districts surrounding those two could also be affected.

The case dates back to 2011, when Texas’s legislature, controlled by Republicans, first redrew maps in an effort to help the party.

Court battles prevented those district lines from going into effect, with a temporary court-ordered map used instead in the 2012 elections. In 2013, the legislature officially approved the court’s map.

The district court in San Antonio then ruled against the use of those maps, a decision appealed by the state of Texas.

The Supreme Court took up the case on appeal from the state, but it still has to decide whether it has jurisdiction to hear it.

Opponents of the legislative lines argue the state should not have appealed the initial decision directly to the Supreme Court. The battle over whether the court should be hearing the case is likely to be an issue in the oral arguments on Tuesday.

“Two-and-a-half million Texans are impacted, and that’s just in the districts that were declared illegal,” said state Rep. Rafael Anchia (D), chairman of the Mexican American Legislative Caucus, one of the plaintiffs in the case.

Texas argues that because the state used the court-drawn maps for the 2012 election, the 2011 redistricting plan that was found discriminatory was never implemented.

The plaintiffs argue that those maps continue to discriminate against Hispanic voters, who have ballooned in Texas in the intervening years.

If it does take the case, the court can itself order redistricting and measures to counter other alleged discriminatory practices, or it can side with the state in saying that the 2013 provisional plan fixed the problem.

A result that mandates redistricting could have immediate effects on this year’s midterm elections, as primaries would need to be held to select candidates for any district that changes ahead of November’s general election.

If the court does side with the state, the next opportunity to redraw districts won’t come until after the 2020 census.

“You know, that’s it. If the Supreme Court finds against us, them’s the rules,” said Anchia.

While Senator Paul Rand reversed his prior stance to make the key vote to advance Pompeo's nomination, a different cabinet nominee appears to be headed in a different direction.
It turns out lavishly praising Trump's health may not be enough qualification to run the VA.

Senate to postpone confirmation hearing for Ronny Jackson to head Veterans Affairs, White House officials told
Senate lawmakers have postponed the confirmation hearing for Ronny L. Jackson, President Trump’s nominee to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs, after top Republicans and Democrats raised concerns about his qualifications and oversight of the White House medical staff, White House and other administration officials were told Monday.
The development came just two days before Jackson was scheduled to testify before the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs and threw what was already looking to be a difficult confirmation process into further jeopardy.

In addition to Jackson’s lack of management experience, the White House physician and former combat surgeon had come under fire for his glowing appraisal of Trump’s health in January, during which he said the president might live to the age of 200 with a healthier diet. In recent days, fresh concerns arose about his management of the White House medical office, said the officials, who declined to provide details.

“I can tell you we’re vetting out Jackson,” said Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.), the committee’s ranking Democrat. “I can’t get into specifics, but we’re doing our job to make sure he’s fit for the job.”

The White House, at Tester’s request, also is assessing whether the questions that have been raised about Jackson have any validity, a former White House official said.

Aides to committee Chairman Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) declined to comment on the issue. Jackson was a surprise nominee to succeed David Shulkin, whom President Trump fired March 28.

Trump's new NASA chief has been sworn in today. A climate change denier with no space exploration background and little of any scientific background in general of course.
His "qualifications" to run NASA:
-Graduated university with majors in economics, business and psychology
-MBA degree at a separate university
-Former naval aviator in US naval reserve
-Former xecutive director of Tulsa air and space museum
-Republican lawmaker

One of my close friends has a July deadline to decide on moving to the US in Texas for a few years to work on a NASA project actually, though it's not directly space related.
Contract negotiations are still being finalized so it's not fully set in stone but I hope having some unqualified politician heading the agency won't sour the workplace too much if he decides to take the job. Rex Tillerson isn't an idiot or anything but he just wasn't qualified and he crippled the State Department's morale. I could see a politician who even refutes climate change heading NASA causing similar issues.

Glocks kill more people overall tho...

Don't let the model of the weapon distract you.
It makes you look uninformed .
I assume it was pointing out the correlation to mass shootings.

I'd be curious to see some stats of # murders vs # self-defense cases / lives saved vs # accidental deaths, broken down by gun type or model. And then a comparison in terms of efficacy and cost+risk:benefit to other weapons and/or self-protection approaches (security systems, locks, etc).

AR-15s are simply the most lethally efficient and convenient weapon to go on a shooting spree.
