Ohh so polio vaccine isn’t settled medicine? We rather children have polio again?
Calm down. I agree it’s “settled medicine.” Laughing (probably shouldn’t be) that we live in a time where there’s real concern an attorney who doesn’t believe in vaccines can be appointed to lead health agencies. We really seem to be ******.Please, do expand.

Meh…worse things have happened than me being misinterpreted. If there’s ever confusion about a post that I don’t address, know that I err on the side of common sense.Yea you gotta be careful how you respond. It’s hard to interpret things sometimes in written form.
The great news is that he can’t just wave a magic wand and privatize USPS. It’s gonna take a lot more than that. Not to mention Republicans have been “looking” at privatizing USPS since forever, and it hasn’t come close to happening yet.
Granted, Dejoy has fast tracked us into the ground by raising rates and significantly slowing mail delivery time standards. So I wouldn’t be surprised if the idiot electorate somehow thinks privatizing it would be an improvement. If it does happen, it’ll tank so much e-commerce, as USPS is the only thing keeping FedEx and UPS’ rates competitive. Get ready for $30 shipping rates and zero delivery to anywhere outside a metro area. Ironically the folks that’ll be affected the most by this are Trump voters lol—all those clowns in the middle of bum**** nowhere who rely on USPS for last mile delivery of their medications will suffer. Tough luck.
I wonder where all those protesters that could find their way to all those democratic events and took such a hardline disappeared to
This is where someone like AOC in position of leadership could be influential.
When it was up to the CBC, I knew it was a wrap.

They do.It’s almost like they fear mutual confrontation to where they deliberately avoid Trump/GOP events.
I never thought I’d reach this point but if the establishment of the party don’t move on the voters need to move on and not to the Republican Party like some have argued cause that would be ridiculous. I want the Democratic Party to split if these dudes don’t get their **** together. I’ve argued against it in the past and understand the initial problems that would bring towards defeating republicans nationally but I feel like we will be left with no other option if they don’t get they act right.Connolly is 74 dog
Party needs to start moving on
I feel your frustration 100% but any real split doesn't benefit the old dems or a new progressive party and they're losing even more leverage by doing that.I never thought I’d reach this point but if the establishment of the party don’t move on the voters need to move on and not to the Republican Party like some have argued cause that would be ridiculous. Progressives should split make they own party convince as many progressive leaning dems to come with them and let the democrats and the new progressive party whatever it will be called fight for the share of voters left of the isle. Draw a line in the sand and let the voters decide who they believe will be best equipped to defeat the republicans going forward and lead this country for the better.
This girl got the greatest publicists because I never even heard of her until a few months ago.I know Chappell Roan was on Carpool Karaoke yesterday, so there's that.
I definitely think people still need to do this regardless cause it makes the most sense to do. I just feel like there will always be that roadblock on the national level now cause of how these dudes get down. I’m starting to question if the progressives would be hurt more by a split than the old guard would cause I believe they would win the war of ideas when it comes to swaying voters especially with how baked in anti establishment sentiment is now they’d have an immediate leg up on the old guard.I feel your frustration 100% but any real split doesn't benefit the old dems or a new progressive party and they're losing even more leverage by doing that.
Just have to continue to vote and replace folks where the demos show favor to more progressive candidates and keep growing their own caucus.
As grim as it sounds at some point these people will retire or die. (RIP Feinstein) so younger progressives need to be backed in races m. You also have to remember this country continues to show us they aren't as progressive as they like to tout itself to be at times. AOC has been trending better nationally I think but she probably couldn't even win a Statewide NY race and by no fault of her own other than people are set in their old archaic waysI definitely think people still need to do this regardless cause it makes the most sense to do. I definitely agree the country isn’t as progressive as we think but I do think the country can be swayed on simple progressive messaging. The wealthy establishment are the problem, I’m different, we will fix it seems like that’s all it takes for some people they just wanna feel like they part of something different more than being principled progressives. That’s mostly what I’m basing the idea on where I could see a scenario where a new progressive party could win more votes despite the electorate not being progressive cause people wanna vibe and feel different and they’d be willing to say things that speak to that the dem establishment isn’t. I don’t want it to be easier for republicans to win I’ve just lost faith the dem establishment really cares about that as much as I do and others. As grim as it sounds at some point these people will retire or die. We already see a split and a war of ideologies when there are primaries. I'm not sure a new party makes any real difference than maybe when the general election happens dems and progressives just make it easier for the republican candidate to pass an even lower bar for votes, especially if the centrist or progressive has the leverage you're gonna end up with some protest voting to tank each other.
Like I said I get it and it sucks I don't know what the answer is but I'll keep backing progressives in the party for now but not sit out because Gerry Connolly got backed either. Idk man it's tough sledding for sure
My issue with the Dems is that our coalition is just so diverse (this is a good thing) that it is often difficult to pinpoint exactly what we need to do in order to move forward. This country isn’t as progressive as we’d like and for every progressive space like we have in NT you have two more Centrist spaces saying progressive policies and defund da police are why we lost. In my view we need #SMASHMOUTHPOLITICS and politicians that support that initiative. #SMASHMOUTHPOLITICS is what I’ve been advocating since 2016 and it’s less about policy differences between centrists and progressives and it is all about how we fight Republicans and that is with aggressive messaging, bold proclamations online and in policy and when they go low we go subterranean. AOC, Hakeem Da Dream, Jasmine and others represent this style. One thing I will say is that many that are #SMASHMOUTHPOLITICS aren’t always in the limelight so I’m willing to give Connelly a chance.
One thing I will also say is that I understand folks wanting to change up leadership and I believe in many respects it’s warranted but at the house and senate levels your leaders not only need to get and keep people in line and implement #SMASHMOUTHPOLITICS buy they have to be able to fundraise. Make no mistake, Republicans rode the Trump wave to power but if he weren’t on the top of the ticket they would’ve lost. Their leadership is terrible at raising money which is why many were angry when Kev Mack was removed since he and Turtle are their best fundraisers.
