***Official Political Discussion Thread***

I've never publicly admitted this but I went 3rd party in 2016. I "did my research" and bought into what Gary Johnson was saying, even when he didn't know what/where Aleppo was. I hated the democrats and truly believed that they railroaded Bernie in order to prop up and extremely unlikable candidate with Hillary simply because it was "her turn".

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a criminal imo and I am ashamed to have lived in her district. I even told her as much at an early voting event in Sunrise.

Anyway, never again. I've found it to be much more effective to get involved and vote in smaller elections at the local level.

respectfully, you got scammed. sounds like bunch of progressive influencers tricked you into believing that Bernie got railroaded,

Bernie caught a fair L, a bunch of politics influencers spent years lying to their audience that it got stolen from him.

Bernie has never been able to get enough black voters to win in a democratic primary.
it's that simple. all the crying by leftist influencers is a scam to generate viewers.

letting those scammers convince you stop voting in presidential elections, is just another L. I would advise against taking it.

I agree like most folks do that a vote for the green party is a vote for Trump
Voting for Jill is the equivalent of voting for yourself. Third party voting in this country is like those papers’ announcement saying they’re not endorsing a candidate. It’s supposed to convey some neutrality towards the main parties, but is really just a nod to the gop. Like he said, everyone’s entitled.

A green vote means “i only like 51% of what Trump stands for and Kamala 49%” lol. Just *** admit it already that you maga 😂😂

Same pollster that had KH +21 earlier in October

Story of this election could be herding. There was a poll by Bullfinch where they released the straight data with no massaging (other than constructing a representative sample). It had KH +8 in Michigan

If you step away from national and swing state polls (the ones that are most likely to herd) the rarely polled states are showing good news

An essential experience of being left wing and into urbanism is that little bit of rage that comes from aerial shots above most North American cities.

I’m trying to just chill and watch a ball game but the Lakers are playing at Phoenix… grrrr

I've never paid enough attention to polls to care about the real nature of how they are calculated. I assumed that they would simple survey a number of people and extrapolate that out to the entire population. Is it more complicated than that? If not, especially with modern mistrust in media and people not being willing to even answer the phone at all, let alone sit threw a survey, how are any of them taken seriously?

And with modern attitudes on work, is anyone doing the "on the ground" work to gather this information well-compensated professionals or part-time laborers just doing the minimum and having no real accountability, and then they just throw out a generic number that is close enough to be in the "margin of error" that nobody questions it? Are there paid physical surveys and focus group type situations, or literally an online survey or phone/text questionnaire? Kinda curious now that I'm thinking about it.
