the differences in the posters alone makes you scared asf for what can potentially happen next year.

CHANGE vs. MASS DEPORTATION

Trump and Republicans is going to straight trash the Democrats if they replace Biden.

They're going to say things like look how they replaced Biden a good man and such as soon as they could to put a Pelosi shill in there.

That will make Biden supporters turn away from voting for who they put in place to replace him.

It's crazy that a common sense person can see the Republican platform and how bad they are but only in America is this a close race or now as the pundits say in favor of Trump now.

They are going to do that no matter what. Is that any worse than beating the Biden is senile drum from now til November?

Also I wouldn't give what Republicans say too much credit. We've seen how much the "Biden crime family" nonsense has stuck

If I were to guess, they'd rather campaign against Biden than a new candidate at this stage of the game

A new candidate whom voters don't know like they know Biden is a chance for a reset. An opportunity to introduce themselves along with all of the Biden admin accomplishments. It would be a way to center the race on what Biden has done rather than who Biden is
I don't disagree with this at all; however, how do you make it happen effectively between July and November?

Democrats are running against time. If they had these doubts a year/two years ago, they should have developed contingency plans, and they should have gotten Biden (or people close to him) to buy into those plans. That's how a well run machine is supposed to work, and that's not what Democrats look like right now.

You're acting like 100s of articles and opinion pieces about Biden's decline are not printed with the implicit purpose of influencing the public's opinion. Y'all are scrutinizing every misspelling, mistake, mixup Biden does; meanwhile, Trump has been sleeping throughout many of his public appearances; when he's awake, his ramblings have no substance, but we don't see the same level of coverage.

1. The idea that the media is the problem here is the ultimate cope. just look at the polling, the public already thought that biden was too old before the debate and the subsequent media storm.
also people who watched the debate, have a worse opinion of bidens mental capacity, then people who didn't watch the debate and just saw the media coverage.

2. Media coverage is not something that just happens to a candidate.
Part of a politicians skill set is generating media attentions to the to topics they want attention.

Biden can't do this because he's mentally incapacitated. The media carried water for him for basically a year, and the dam broke with the debate.

sitting here complaining about it is pointless. The only way to fix bidens media problems is WITH A DIFFERENT CANDIDATE.

Let's call it like it is: Dems are throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. It looks a lot like Democrats don't even believe their platform can win them the White House. For a party, that spells trouble.

Changing the captain of a ship has never plugged the holes, and nobody can verify whether the hull has holes or the downward motion is due to the water.

again look at the polls, down ballot dems are all polling ahead of Biden, if the problem was the dem platform,
Dems wouldn't be out performing Biden.

The platform is fine, the voters simply think Biden is too old. they thought that before the debate, they thought that for like 2 years now.

What happens if Biden steps aside and his poll numbers skyrocket while his replacement's plummet?

The Biden buying in part is a lot easier said than done. Nobody who actually needs their keys taken away believes they need their keys taken away

That's why the take the keys away decision is almost always made after an event acutely demonstrating just how bad the decline has become

Six months ago losing the advantage of incumbency would have been idiotic. If the reporting is accurate and a more rapid deterioration has been happening within the last 6 months it's hard to imagine getting to this point much sooner

And yet in this diminished mental state, I have yet to hear him advocate for the ingesting of bleach and/or nuking of hurricanes

As a Bahamian, I can not afford for the US to test out the theory to appease a dummy (the nuke one.. I’d be fine with certain people testing out the bleach one)

what happens when you pull the goalie and the other team scores?

nothing, you lose and that's it.

the point is to increase volatility of outcomes.
