It is reactionary and stupid for Republicans to freak out over machine learning algorithms, but as soon as ChatGPT came out I felt that sooner or later conservatives would turn on stuff like it.
They can't have an unbiased news source out there feeding people basic information. That works against their propaganda campaign
Look how much they fought as other things in the media that was outside the right wing media bubble. Killing Fairness doctrine, deregulation of radio stations, buying up local news outlets, privatizing public media, labeling the mainstream media as unfairly liberal.
Sooner or later they are gonna come for A.I. Hell the had an issue with Google search
Also they think algorithms work just like a human content moderator deleting certain content. So of course they are gonna think Skynet is a dirty lib.

Microsoft is supposedly adding ChatGPT to Bing this spring.
On one hand I think it is good, might actually make me use Bing over Google for basic searches
On the other hand, currently I only use Bing for one thing, the thing it is much better than Google at.
And I don't think I want Skynet to know what I be up to in the video search section.
