***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Auditing rich people generates more revenue. But those audits are more complicated so that is why the need the man power.

Not sure why this is a foreign concept to folks

High net worth individuals, big corporations, and complicated partnerships are not easy to audit

Average workers getting a W-2 or 1099(s) are easy to audit

Now which of these two groups is likelier to underpay their taxes

A lot of relevant & interesting content in this thread but I really do wish there were more of the above stories than MTG and Boebert news in here

Right. Then he disappears when he gets hit with facts. Or just ignore those post all together.

Because I don’t want to have a conversation with you losers 😂

I post my thoughts & go… idk why y’all dudes have this idea that your questions or concerns deserve a response. I don’t care to debate anything with yall because I simply don’t value the opinion of most of you

Go argue with the ghost of ninjahood

I agree that we could have more content based on daily policy changes, but we can't really ignore these two (and the rest of the clown convoy) because they represent the culmination of 40 years of failed policies that refuse to go the way of the dodo among a large segment of the voting population. Ignoring what they say and do plays a role in normalizing their behavior, and their entire presence in Congress should not be considered normal in a healthy democracy (which I hope we all want).

Plus, we could all use the LOLs they keep providing.

I respectfully disagree, these lunatics lie and cheat (a lot of politicians always have) but to my knowledge they are elected fairly and to my knowledge each represents around 3 quarters of a million people.

I get it, twitter and CNN and Fox news drive the narratives and these people draw clicks and soundbites, but the reps (it's mostly congressmen/women that are ludicrous) that receive 95% of news coverage represent about .5% of the US population and even less of US policy, but receive 95% of the coverage.

IMO, policy changes like the Illinois gun law, changes lives.
