He is recycling an old Milton Freidman talking point

The argument goes that most of the job lost you will see from a minimum wage increase is people marginally attached to the labor market. Black people, especially young black people, disproportionately fall into this group so a minimum wage increase is somehow racist.

But what libertarians ignore and socialist and liberals when trying to say for decades that this only the case for young black kids because of other systemic issues, and if we address these issues then black folk with have a stronger attachment to the labor market. From large structural changes to target programs, you can help accomplish this.

But libertarians are against all those things.

Freidman went pull buffoon though, because he argued that when the minimum wage was zero, black people enjoyed full employment. When was this time you ask.....during slavery

Libertarians argument about the minimum wage being racist is just bad faith nonsense
