Fact check……………..
John Randle played with Randy 3 years. Ages 31-33
Randall McDaniel, two years. Ages 34-35
Carter played 4 years with him, ages 33-37
Jerry Rice played with
Ronnie Lott, 6 years. Lott had 2 SB’s before Rice got there. Same as…..
Joe Montana, 6 years, who was then replaced by Steve Young, and Jerry played with him the rest of Steve’s career thru 1999. Meaning, from 1985, to 1999, Jerry played with a HOF QB.
Charles Haley, 6 years.
The start of said career, guided by Bill Walsh. Who then handed it off to his assistant Seifert, who went on to win a couple Super Bowls himself. (with all this HOF talent)
Fred Dean was also there in 1985, he too is a HOFer, but I didn’t even know that. I don’t even know who he is.
I thought Craig and Sapolu were both in, I was wrong. Craig is on a wait list, Sapolu is only a member of 4 of their SB’s, but not a HOFer.
I didn’t even mention Dwight Clark or John Taylor, 2 guys that won or got them to Super Bowls. Clark with The Catch, and Taylor the game winner vs Cincy. Or Ricky Watters and his SB performance.
So, fact check, I apologize for typing off the cuff, and being wrong on Craig and Sapolu, but technically forgetting Dean. The shame my family must now feel.
To recap, Jerry played with Joe, Young, Lott, Hayley, Craig, Watters, Taylor, etc thru the prime of their careers.
You pointed out 3 guys, that Randy played 2 years with all of them on the roster, at the ends of their careers. And you want to make that the same thing, based on me technically not having 2 of the players properly listed? (not to mention Craig can still get in at some point)
