Damn, his college career is worth 11,000+ yards and 132 touchdowns.

Had no idea Michael Irvin was the greatest college player of all time. Learn something new every day.

Irvin led one of the greatest college teams of All Time and won the National Championship.

If Randy Moss had the right head on his shoulders he would have been better than Rice.

but he didnt so hes not.

I'm a Skins fan and always believed Irvin was better then Rice.

Irvin was vocal and emotional leader of those Cowboys teams. His college career makes up for the gap in numbers between himself and Rice on the pro level. Irvin had a better body of work as a WR college and pro.
no way and im a cowboys fan. jerry is goat.....

Irvin isn't even in the same building as Rice
Irvins last full season at 32 years old he had 1057 yards 1 TD
Rice at 40 years old had 1211 yards 7 TD

7 years of 1000+ yards receiving vs. 14 years of 1000+ yards receiving.

1 year of double-digit receiving TDs vs. 9 years of double-digit receiving TDs.

1315 yards and 8 TDs in the postseason vs. 2245 yards and 22 TDs in the postseason.

1 first-team all-pro vs. 10 first-team all-pros

I can see it. Michael Irvin was definitely better.

Oh well damn, that definitely makes up for being obliterated in every statistical category known to man in the NFL.

How many National Championships did Tim Tebow lead the Florida Gators to?

Tim Tebow > Tom Brady

He played longer. Hence the inflated numbers. How far ahead was he when he retired?

Is Gale Sayers not a All Time great back? I can name lots of players who have better numbers. He only played 8 seasons.

Jerry is head and shoulders the best receiver ever and some folks say he's one of the best overall football players ever.. Regardless of position.

The #2 best receiver is so far behind him in nearly every category..

He's as impressive a dude I've seen play.

And longevity is definitely something to be praised imo... If it was so easy everybody would do it. Can't undermine sustained success..

Bruh Rice at the tail end of his career was better than Irvin in his prime

Michael Irvin played 12 years. 11904 receiving yards, 65 TDs.

Compare them to the first 12 years of Jerry Rice's career. 16377 yards, 154 TDs.

You were saying?

When people talk about top 3 Receivers the gap between Rice and the next man is so damn big :lol
This is during an era DB's are allowed to Jam at 10 yards and get away with 100x what they do now
crazy that with the inflated offensive numbers no receiver will touch Rice

Jerry Rice is the only player in Pro sports that can be proclaimed the best simply off stats. No one applies this logic to any other player or position. Why is that?

Favre best QB? Karl Malone best basketball player? That logic doesn't hold up.

Jerry Rice averaged 1325 yards and 13 TDs his first 12 years in the NFL.

Michael Irvin never caught 13 TDs in a season.

If you were making the case that Kareem is underrated and his alltime points record is underrated, that would be a good point.

I don't agree with the point you are making, though.

"Simply off stats."

Please tell me what he's lacking in his career to not be labeled the best WR of all-time.

I'll wait.

the collector the collector please advise.

Wait Randy Moss played with 3 HOFers when he first got to the Vikings.

Cris Carter, John Randle and Randall McDaniel and if we really want to be techincal we can could count Chris Doleman, but I won't.

Its frustrating that I can't trust what dude says and I have to fact check everything dude says.
