So having a All time great Hall of Fame wide receiver mentor doesn't count?
One that had strong work ethic and went thru some BS like Randy did and could relate....didn't help Randy at all?
I still find it funny that no one talks about how a 39/40 year old Jerry Rice goes to Oakland and immediately becomes their #1 option, helps Rich Gannon win MVP, and they make it to the Super Bowl his second year there.
But hey, it's all the HoF talent that surrounded him throughout his career.
You said Randy didn't get play with HOFers til later in his career?
How am I supposed to take that statement?
Is it wrong of me to assume you are saying Randy didn't play with HOFers til late in his career which I think you mean Tom Brady, which therefore implied Cris Carter doesn't count?
It just comes off to me as misinformation.
I'm trying to figure out who the HOF RB and HOF C are Jerry played with?
I hope that's not more misinformation.
I've never claimed Bonds is, no way for me to know.
Ruth, Mays, Aaron, Gehrig, Clemente, etc.

I'm a Skins fan and always believed Irvin was better then Rice.
Irvin was vocal and emotional leader of those Cowboys teams. His college career makes up for the gap in numbers between himself and Rice on the pro level. Irvin had a better body of work as a WR college and pro.
