I'll be serious now since I was getting on the knicks before with their bad play.
The Knicks have not changed since Scott Layden left. Sure the players have gotten dealt and Isiah was able to correct the contracts of Eisley, Anderson, andPenny Hardaway but he has stuck to the same formula that layden did.
I mentioned to friends of mine that are huge Knick fans that the only thing Isiah knows how to do is draft players. Lee, Robinson, and Frye were good draftpicks for Isiah and then to prove many wrong about balkman who was a good player (not an all star quality player but good). He signed Randolph Morris anddrafted chandler who may be good but these two guys need the time. If he was an advisor for a team during draft night I am all for it but to put a teamtogether and run it, no.
He made supid decisions like signing Jerome "my toes hurt so I am not playing" James to 31 mil for 4 or 5 years. He then adds players with hugecontracts that people thought would be all star quality but turned to be role players. ( unlike layden who signed known role players to max contracts)
Zach Randolph - Good move, if you had a big man that could rebound the basketball consistantly and did you know that he doesn't pass the ball back out inthe post even when he is doubled up? Not good for a team that doesn't mesh well.
Eddy Curry - I would love to have Curry on the nets but he is overhyped as a go to guy. He played extremely well at the end of the year last year but hedoesn't have that will to play like he did last year. Also, randolph and his shooting prefences doesn't help curry and his offense.
David Lee - Does Isiah know that he is still on the team? This man's minutes shouldn't be cut to have Randolph fight over the ball with Marbury. Herebounds, He hustles, and He plays defense. I just Scratch my head over this one. He was great last year and now, zeke doesn't even use him right anymore.
Nate Robinson - I never really liked nate but I have grown to like his play and he has grown up somewhat since last year. (As a Nets fan I still think he isbum, but I respect him now)
Quentin Richardson - Zeke should watch games from when he played in phoenix and how they used him. I know his back has bothered him but set him up in thecorners for threes and he will hit them.
Stephon Marbury - I agree with the gr8 that he wants to win, I agree that he shouldn't take the blame. He is still the face of the team but he can' tbe the go to guy. With that said they went to Curry and now, with his head somewhere else, they are depending on starbury not marbury. He has been give thecancer title because of his non success but if he was with say KG, DIRK, LEBRON he would thrive with them.
Jamal Crawford - no Knick fan can ever say that they did not boo this man or did not want him traded. They make changes to the roster they try to change thescoring and this man is still one of your top scorers and plays hard. He takes the criticism better than anyone on the team and still comes to work ready toplay. He isn't a problem on this team. Him and lee are the only ones that I would not want to trade in any big trade.
The rest of the role players on the team (Rose,Jones,Jefferies,Morris,Chandler, James) are hit or miss on any night because they are sent out there to docertain jobs so I am not discussing them.
This team needs to let the contracts run out and start fresh. Trading three dumb contracts to pickup one possibly good dumb contract can't be attemptedanymore. You still would have a couple of bad years but it would turn for the better.
New York deserves a good team ( the Nets are coming to Brooklyn. Just Kidding.) and the garden faithful deserve much better.
